Prefabricated manholes

All joints are to be sealed with special rubber seals or watertight cement mortar as per DIN EN 206, DIN 1045, made from a mixture of cement (DIN 1164-10; DIN EN 196; DIN EN 197), concrete aggregates up to a maximum of 4 mm (DIN EN 12620), and proper, suitable water. Mixing proportions: Cement: aggregates = 1:3. A support ring is to be installed between the taper shaft ring and the shaft cover. If more than one support ring is used, the total height of the rings may not exceed 28 cm. In principle, no more than two support rings should be used. Since the support rings alone generally do not allow for exact adaptation to the terrain height, a leveling course of in-situ concrete is also envisaged, the maximum thickness of which will be 5 cm. The maximum height of the support rings (as a rule, two rings) and the leveling course is 28 cm. The step irons should be fixed by the manufacturer of the concrete elements.
