The sensuous curvesand interplay of light and shade theembossment provides help to focusthe eye on the food and to drawcomparisons between the texturedelements of the ware and the naturalgrain present in most foods.

Optik has a natural, tactile qualit y,which invites the diner to explore thesur faces of the piece. The embossmentis subt ly dif ferent on each item,fur ther enhancing visual appeal.

Optik also has the ef fect of addingsparkle from ref lected light as it catchestiny highlights on the pristine glaze,formed by the underlying embossment.
