Happy Kiwanis New Year NYCKI! Our service year runs from April 1st to March 31st but the Kiwanis year runs from October 1st to September 30th. Be sure to congratulate and thank your outgoing Kiwanis club officers for all of their hard work throughout the past year. Simultaneously, congratulate the incoming officers for a great year ahead and begin building a strong relationship with them if you haven’t already! On another note, DLSSP was a huge success, New York Speaking is coming up and trick-or-treat season is here. This newsletter is filled with more information on all these topics! This month, I would also like to highlight a few clubs who have begun their club’s focus for Care to Be Aware. Remember that if you see someone on campus that looks like they’re busy, that may not be the case. They may need a friend or better yet, you as an everyday hero.

October is Trick-or-Treat season! You are never too old to go trick-or-treating. When going out to trick-or-treat, there are so many options to consider. You can either trick-or-treat for UNICEF/The Eliminate Project by ordering the boxes here: http://store.kiwanis.org/product/2727 or for Kamp Kiwanis by e-mailing Maureen Neuringer at [email protected] for more info! Of course, you don’t have to limit trick-or-treating to collecting money. You can ask for cans of food to donate to your local food pantry, or simply for candy!
Get a group of members together (go with K-Kids!), dress up, and have some fun this Halloween!
nycirclek.org has launched, check it out for more information on NYCKI and for more DLSSP photos!
