MASS SCHEDULE THIS COMING WEEK: This week is HT Camp and I will be saying mass there, at Tintern, so there will be one mass on 6/25 Monday at 8:05. Then Deacon Roger will be doing a communion service on 6/26 Tuesday at 8:05 am, on 6/27 Wednesday at 5:30 pm and on 6/28 Thursday at 8:05 am. INTERESTING FACT: In 2017-2018, Holy Trinity Cafe-teria served 50,106 meals to our K-12 students from Holy Trinity & Cedar Catholic over 163 days. The cooks also served 1,899 adult meals and prepared 9,626 lunches for East and West Catholic Schools. The children not only drank the milk that came with their meals, but an additional 27,581 cartons of milk. The staff made 8,969 additional sandwiches for the students who asked for seconds. In addition to the daily meals, the children have access to a great fruit and vegetable bar. Hats off to Donna Burbach and her staff for a job well done!!!! This is truly a labor of love. Donna is looking for help, why not think about joining her team to provide for the children of our schools. MOVING CEDAR FORWARD: A CAMPAIGN TO PAY OFF THE REMODELING DEBT—COMING SOON. The Executive Committee or Steering Committee is now in the process of recruiting workers for the cam-paign. The silent phase of the campaign has begun. VERY IMPORTANT: AS WE NEAR THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR: Your envelopes include a “Year-End” collection envelope. The money given to this does several things: —If you need to make up for Sundays where you missed making an offertory gift...”Year-End” helps make it up —Our budget is very tight and it will be even more tight next fiscal year. Your “Year-End” gift will help make sure we finish the year in the black and will give us a jump start on the next. —At the end of June we will take up a second collec-tion for this purpose. —The Finance Committee and the tradition of the par-ish affirms that if we do not budget the putting aside of money into our savings account then even though we end the year breaking even...we are still in debt. We have budgeted $5000 to go into savings for this fiscal year. WE NEED TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL YEAR END COLLECTION. GOAL: $14,000 plus.
FAMILY FORMATION: We are getting ready for next year. Would you like to help by being a catechist? Sr. Mildred helps get all your class materials set up and she assists you any way you need. Here are the openings: KINDERGARTEN: 2 Teachers (Share Responsibilities): 2nd GRADE: 1 Teacher (Share Responsibilities with Missy Bowers) 6th GRADE: 1 Teacher (Share Responsibilities with Kristi L o e c k e r ) C O N T A C T : F r . K o r t e a t [email protected] or Sr. Mildred Busch at [email protected] Phone: 605.668.6141 (Room) or Switchboard: 605.668.6000 SUMMER MAINTENANCE STUFF:
Tuckpointing on the Grade School has begun. They are sup-posed to be finished before school starts.

4 Restrooms in the Grade School are getting a face-lift. Stalls are being painted, main entrance boys is getting new stalls, upper walls and ceiling painted, floor completely stripped, toilets recaulked. etc.

Maintenance work on the boilers in the grade school mapped out before we can determine whether our remain-ing Special Needs Appeal can go to replacing the upper east windows in the HT gym.
Cleaning out the Stage Storage room, building shelves. CEMETERY MOWING: After some discussion at the Pastoral Council meeting the following idea was offered to increase safety around the highway. THE FIRST MOWERS TO ARRIVE PLEASE IMMEDIATELY MOW THE WEST DITCH NEXT TO THE GRAVEL ROAD. ALL OTHERS ARRIVING PLEASE USE THAT AREA FOR PARKING AND LOADING/UNLOADING MOW-ERS. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING THE SKYLON PARKING LOT… THIS WILL ELIMINATE THE CROSSING OF THE HIGH-WAY. If we adhere to this procedure we will increase the safety of our volunteers a 100 fold.
SUMMER SERVER PARTY: SUNDAY, JULY 1. Free swimming at the pool 5:00-6:30 pm followed by grilled hotdog supper right afterwards in the park. If it rains the whole thing is postponed until August.
PASTORAL COUNCIL: Due to HT camp, meeting will be moved to Wednesday, July 11 at 7:00 pm. This will be a meeting for all outgoing, remaining and incoming members. Mass on July 4: There will be a mass at 9:00 am and no 5:30 mass. There will be no confessions on July 4.

Liturgy & Spirituality Committee Meeting
May 10, 2018 held at Holy Trinity office work room @ 8:10 P.M.
Present: Fr. Owen Korte, Rose Koch, Lois Lammers, Russ Flamig, Judy Kuchta,
Roger Filips, and Janet Albers.
The meeting opened with prayer. The minutes were reviewed and approved as
presented.
The celebration of Corpus Christi and its outside procession and altars were
discussed. A truck is needed for the PA system as the Lee Lammers truck is not
available that day. The decorated altars by parish members were discussed. The
placement of the altars will be the same as last year. The Rose Noecker Koch
families and Bette Becker families were confirmed for two of the decorated altars.
There was still needed confirmation on the other two altars of Jim Steffen and
Kathie Dresden. A parish pot luck will be held again after the procession.
A Memorial Day mass will again be celebrated at the cemetery. Father would like
to coordinate this with the American Legion service held that day there at the
cemetery. Mass attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs to the cemetery.
The Vocation Display Wall was again brainstormed. Details of who to include,
how much information, names/pictures etc. After much discussion, it was decided
that “simplicity” would be key to its success. A more appropriate name would be
Vocation Prayer Wall, so as people read it they realize these parish members are in
need of prayer as they encounter a new sacrament (marriage, religious vocation) or
a new ministry (diaconate or campus ministry). This wall will require updating as
time will change the display.
Meeting closed @ 9:12 p.m. Next meeting was set possibly for June 7th
. Our
closing prayer was the Glory Be.
Respectfully submitted, Janet Albers
