Storage partitions’ technical characteristics

The storage partition is made up of a load-bearing frame in matt-finish and scratch resistant melamine-covered panels, density of 650 Kg/m3, thickness 18 mm., which is the same for all components: sides, tops, bases, solid doors, drawer fronts, solid back pan-els, skirting, vertical and horizontal fitting panels. Standard elements are 500 and 1000 mm. wide. All solid doors are equipped with 110° or full opening tested hinges. The solid doors’ knobs are always sup-plied with cylinder locks and integrated keys. The storage partition structural sides are equipped with metal levelling feet which simplify levelling operations. The whole structural frame (sides, tops and bases) is tightened by means of particular joints. Skirting, vertical and horizontal fitting panels are click-release connected to allow the whole unit inspection and to reuse the total components in case of future office lay-out modifications.

A “technical element” is also available for setting sock-ets and switches between other elements: the front part can be supplied in solid panel or aluminium sheet. The inside standard equipment consists of metal shelves 30 mm. thick that can hold suspended filing folders and can be set at different heights (internal holes at pitch 32 mm.). Pull-out filing frames, pull-out clothes-hanger or other office filing requirements can be also supplied. The storage partition upper part can be fitted with glazed modules assembled on a double glass alumin-ium frame coplanar to solid panels. The storage partition useful inside space is 426 mm. whereas the total thickness is 462 mm. All hardboard melamine-covered panels have a good resistance to bending and tensile stress, to ageing and stains. The standard panels are supplied in second class fire-retardant hardboard. First class fire-retardant panels are available on specific request.

A PVC strip is placed between the panels and steel posts to give acoustic seal to the partition and to mark the distance between the panels’ edges. A greater sound-proofing is assured by inserting a suitable den-sity rock-wool layer between the panels. The partition is constructed to contain electric, telephone, and data transmission systems, including other cable ducts. Be-sides it is possible to insert sockets and switches, boxes and other accessories according to final user’s requests. Special elements are also available for the insertion of sockets and switches. The partition can be fitted with accessories which can be hooked to the slots on the post. Door-posts, glazed frames, handles, corners and con-nections are rounded to respond to accident prevention and aesthetical requirements. All hardboard melamine-covered panels have a good resistance to bending and tensile stress, to ageing and stains. The standard panels are supplied in second class fire-retardant hardboard. First class fire-retardant panels are available on specific request.

Partitions’technical characteristics

The partition is made up of a load-bearing frame in hot-galvanized structural steel. The assembling system is extremely fast as it work through the perfect fitting between posts and beams. The fitting elements are made up of two matt-finish and scratch resistant melamine-covered panels, thick-ness 18 mm., density of 650 Kg/m3. Glazed elements are made up of an extruded alumin-ium frame assembled on safety glasses such as tem-pered 4 mm. glasses and shatterproof 6/7 mm. glasses. Glazed elements can be assembled on a single central glass frame or on a double glass frame. Standard elements 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 mm. wide are available up to 3865 mm. height. The modules are secured in position on a track fixed to the ceiling and the floor by means of steel pressure springs at the top and levelling feet at the base of the structure, which operate by pressure. The finished module is 100 mm. thick. Posts have slots at pitch 32 mm. where panels and covering elements can be fitted by means of metal hooks, so that they can be easily moved for checking all installations.
