CONGREGATIONAL HYMN “HERE I AM, LORD” UMH # 593 1) I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry. All who dwell in dark and sin my hand will save. I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I send? Refrain: Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart. 2) I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people’s pain. I have wept for love of them. They turn away. I will break their hearts of stone, give them hearts for love alone. I will speak my word to them. Whom Shall I send? Refrain: Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart. 3) I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame, I will set a feast for them. My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide till their hearts be satisfied. I will give my life to them. Whom shall I send? Refrain: Is it I, Lord? I have heard you calling in the night. I will go, Lord, if you lead me. I will hold your people in my heart. BENEDICTION Rev. Kiboko I. Kiboko

Place your trust in God’s guidance. Go into this world that is in such need of hope and healing with the love of Christ in your hearts. Though the journey is long, God will sustain you. Go in peace, and may God’s peace always go with you. AMEN.

“STORM LAKE UMC READ” We started reading individually the Gospel of Luke (chapter 1) on Monday,

January 11, 2021. Please read chapter nine of Luke every day of this ninth week.

Follow the following steps..Read the passage slowly to yourself.

Reflect in silence for a short period of time..Read the passage again to yourself.

Then do a longer period of silence for deeper reflection..Ask yourself the following questions.

You don’t need to answer all of them; see where the Spirit leads you.*What catches your attention in this text? Write it down.

*What questions does this text raise for you? Write them down.*What do you think God might be saying to you through this text?

Write it down.

Mark your calendars for an informational meeting to discuss what we want to do and how we are going to do it.

Thank you, United Methodist Church family, so much for all the prayerful and loving support you have given to my family and me during the recent past months following Jim’s death. Your support has been very helpful.
