Action by Veolia to tackle the problem• We have analysed contamination data in detail every month• We have identified which neighbourhoods are worst affected • Contamination of dry recycling is mostly by food waste and non-

• We rolled out the electric Mechanical Sweepers, and tested the new sweeping schedules

• Veolia recruited an extra Environmental Manager at its own cost, and completed its £150,000 investment in additional Town Centre cleansing resources

• We designed new Google inspection sheets to ensure EMs check that flytips are cleared

• We are ready for the Ultra Low Emission Zone, starting 1 April 2019
