DESCRIPTIONThis is a board game that features the heart and

blood circulation. It showcases the process on how the blood is oxygenated from being deoxygenated as it enters and leaves the heart.

TARGET AUDIENCEIntermediate grade pupils

OBJECTIVESThese materials enable the following competencies to be presented

to the learner in an enjoyable and meaningful ways:1.1 identify the main parts (e. g. heart, blood, blood vessels) of

the circulatory system;1.2 describe the function of each part;1.3 trace the path of blood as it flows from the heart to the

different parts of the body and back using a model. CONTENT STANDARDS

The learner demonstrate understanding on how the blood flow as it enters the heart. It also enables them to identify the parts and functions of each part

PERFORMANCE STANDARDSThe learner should be able to familiarize the different parts of

the heart through a picture puzzle and trace the flow of blood as it enters the heart using a game board.
