Fight-or-Flight Response
Alarm Stage- Your body releases a chemical called adrenaline
Ex. Breathing Increases, Heart rate increases, Muscles tense, Sweating, Blood pressure increases.
Resistance Stage- You become tired, irritable, and less able to handle any additional stress
Exhaustion Stage- A stressor that last for weeks, months or even years.

Coping with Stress
Mental Rehearsal- You practice an event without actually doing the event.
Time Management- Managing your time so you can get the most accomplished throughout the day.
Physical Activity- You provide your body with a healthy outlet for built up energy. At the same time you shift the focus from your problems to the task at hand.
Relaxation- Relaxed you may be awake and alert, but are not responding actively to stressors. You may relax your mind by reading, Taking a nap, Listening to music, taking a shower.
Biofeedback- People learn to control one or more body functions by monitoring their body’s
responses.
