PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Controlled was formed with the goal of re-

engineering the t-slot modular structural aluminum

framing system to eliminate the frustrations of re-

tightening, re-constructing, and re-aligning assemblies

that continually fell apart through vibrations incurred

while operating in their target environments or simply

fell apart during shipment. Now six years into its

development, we have initiated an entirely new

paradigm in utilizing aluminum extrusions in structural

applications traditionally reserved for welded steel.

THE FIRST COMPLETELY ENGINEERED SOLUTION

Our patented Vortex Connection™

fastening system creates mechanically locked joints,

optimizing the strength of each profile. Smaller, higher

grade (12.9) fasteners allow the bolts to stretch slightly

when tightened to specifications – creating a spring

effect which dramatically improves resistance to failure.

It also enables assemblies to stay in perfect alignment in

both static and dynamic situations such as fixed load,

vibration, cantilevered, torsional forces, and direct forces

on fasteners.

FASTER ASSEMBLY

Innovative components and fastening methods means no

machining or special tools are required to assemble your

designs. Unique, precision alignment shoulders built into

all components eliminates profile skewing and enables

rapid assembly without wasting time aligning and re-

aligning completed assemblies. Simply put, it is the

fastest, easiest system to assemble and use ever!

LIGHTWEIGHT AND PORTABLE

Assemble, disassemble, move and even re-purpose your

design as required using your existing profiles and

components. Nearly as strong as steel without the

weight, our profiles and components are specifically

engineered for maximum strength and performance.

ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE

Profiles and components can be infinitely reused in your

other projects or completely recycled –reclaiming a

portion of your initial investment.

CONTAMINANT AND FLUID CONTAINMENT

Economical snap-in slot covers protect profiles from

industrial and environmental contamination such as dirt,

dust, moisture, grease, and oil and provide an

aesthetically pleasing finished product. In addition, some

profile channels can serve as transport mechanisms for

gases and fluids such as industrial lubricants, coolants,

and compressed air (NOTE: Extra seals and end caps are

required).

UNMISTAKABLE INDUSTRIAL FINISH

Superior, Type II Architectural Class I (18-micron

thickness) light bronze anodized standard profiles

provide the highest level of protection available to resist

outdoor and industrial hazards such as scratches,

corrosion, and UV fading. Standard components have a

Class II (10 micron) black anodized finish that will set

your completed projects apart from all other aluminum

framing solutions.
