After Roselle Park Police received an anonymous report of a suspicious person acting strangely on the westbound Rar- itan Valley Line NJ Transit Train, Cranford Police respond- ed to and detained the train at the Cranford Train Station until the arrival of NJ Transit Police and County Emergency Man- agement personnel. No person matching the description given to Roselle Park dispatchers was located and the train was allowed to leave the station within approx- imately 30 minutes. During the incident, Moore was arrested when he disregarded police instructions and attempted to flee from police personnel. Moore was charged with disor- derly conduct; police deter- mined he was not related to the initial call of suspicious activity. Officer Joseph Stulpin was the arresting officer. Clark • John Meek, 20, of Roselle Park was arrested on May 27 at 9:29 a.m. on Lexington Boulevard and was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and posses- sion of narcotics paraphernalia. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Antonio Manata was the arresting officer. • Takai Walden, 37, of Rahway POLICE BLOTTER was arrested on May 24 at 10:42 p.m. on Westfield Avenue and Madison Hill Road and was charged with possession of a con- trolled dangerous substance and narcotics paraphernalia. Police Officer George Mar- marou was the arresting officer. • Scott Stetson, 43, Woodbridge was arrested on May 23 at 7:17 p.m. on Alan Court on outstanding warrants totaling $2,169 from Rah- way, Westfield and Linden for con- tempt of court. He was subsequent- ly turned over to the Rahway Police. Police Officer George Mar- marou was the arresting officer. Cranford • Robert Basile, 32, of Brook- lyn, N.Y. was arrested on May 24 at 7 p.m. on South Union Avenue and Lincoln Avenue West and was charged with contempt of court. Following a stop for motor vehi- cle violations, police arrested Robert Basile on an outstanding criminal warrant from Newark. Officer Christopher DiFabio was the arresting officer. • John Meek, 20, of Roselle Park was arrested on May 26 at 8:45 p.m. on North Avenue West and Miln Street and was charged with possession of marijuana less than 50 grams and possession of paraphernalia. A 1998 Honda Accord was stopped for inoperable tail lights. While the driver was searching for credentials, police observed a bag of suspected mari- juana in the center console. He was also cited for maintenance of lamps. Officer Steven D'Ambola was the arresting officer. • Anthony Giordano, 55, of Florham Park was arrested on May 26 at 11:35 p.m. on Centennial Avenue and Garden State Parkway Northbound ramp and was charged with contempt of court. Following a stop for motor vehicle violations, police arrested Giordano on an out- standing traffic warrant from Rox- bury. Officer Eugene Perrotta was the arrested officer. • Nairn Crossley, 27, of East Orange was arrested on May 27 at 10:46 a.m. on North Avenue East and theGarden State Parkway and was charged with possession of marijuana less than 50 grams, pos- session of paraphernalia and receiving stolen property. Following motor vehicle stop at a seatbelt enforcement checkpoint, police arrested Crossley when he was found to have a plastic sand- wich bag of suspected marijuana hidden in his backpack. Crossley was also found tohave an outstand- ing criminal warrant from Hillside. Officer Brian Thomas was the arresting officer. • Kriesha Melton, 22, of Newark was arrested on May 27 at 11:11 a.m. on North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway, and was charged with contempt of court. Following a stop for motor vehi- cle violations, police arrested Melton on an outstanding traffic- warrant from Newark. Officer Brian Thomas was the arresting officer. • Richard Corbett, 32, of Cliff- wood was arrested on May 27 at9 p.m. on Grant Street and was charged with contempt of court. Following an investigation into illegal soliciting, police arrested Corbett on an outstanding criminal warrant from Newark. Corbett was processed and released with a pending court date in Newark Municipal Court. Officer Spencer Durkin was the arresting officer. • Dale Luckinson, 30, of Eliza- beth was arrested on May 29 at 1:24 a.m. on Raritan Road and Gar- den State Parkway Southbound, and was charged with contempt of court. Following a stop for motor vehicle violations, police arrested Luckinson on an outstanding traffic warrant from Paterson. Luckinson was processed and released with a pending court date in Paterson Municipal Court. Officer John Rat- tigan was the arresting officer. • William Rosen, 19, of West- field and Justin Butler, 19, of West- field were arrested on May 29 at 8:24 p.m. on South Avenue West and Lincoln Avenue West and But- ler was charged with possession of marijuana less than 50 grams and possession of paraphernalia and both Rosen and Butler were charged with underage possession of alcohol. A 2000 Mercury Sable was stopped for having an expired vehi- cle registration. During the investi- gation at the scene, police located a beer keg in the vehicle, as well as several pipes and glass bongs con- taining suspected marijuana. Both vehicle occupants — the driver, Rosen and passenger, Butler were arrested. Rosen was also cited for unregistered vehicle. Officer John Rattigan was the arresting officer. • Janine Connolly, 50, of Cran- ford was arrested on May 30 at 2:04 a.m. on Hillside Place and was charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault on police offi- cer. Following a response to a dis- turbance call on Hillside Place, police attempted to arrest Connolly. During the course of the arrest, Connolly resisted officer attempts to handcuff her and attacked officer Brian Wagner, biting him on the forearm. She was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest. • James Angelides, 41, of West- field was arrested on May 30 at 9:58 p.m. at Cranford Police Head- quarters and was charged with con- tempt of court. Officer John Ratti- gan was the arresting officer. Rahway • Police are investigating a bur- glary that occurred on May 30 at 2:51 a.m. on Richard Boulevard. • Police are investigating a theft that occurred on May 30 at 11:10 a.m. on St. Georges Avenue. • Police are investigating a bur- glary that occurred on May 30 at 5:03 p.m. on Regina Avenue. • Police are investigating a rob- bery that occurred on May 30at 10:28 p.m. on Irving Street. Summit • Gilberto Miranda-Rodriguez, 21, of Summit, was arrested on May 28 at 8:55 a.m. at Railroad and Summit avenues and was charged with driving while suspended. On May 26 at 3:24 p.m., police responded to a report of theft of two Trek bicycles from the property of a Sunset Drive residence. Bicycles were missing, each valued at $390. Union • Mireille Armand was arrested on June 3 at 5:05 p.m. on Andrew Street for eluding and warrants after fleeing from a motor vehicle checkpoint. He was also charged with aggravated assault. • Dawn Mohrle was arrested on June 2 at 5:34 p.m. on Springfield Avenue and was charged with pre- scription fraud. • Akil Bowser was arrested on June 2 at 12:53 a.m. on Morris Avenue on a warrant during a motor vehicle stop. • Three juvenile males were arrested on June I at 4:46 p.m. on Andress Terrace for burglary to a garage and warrants.
