surely sharing, and my lungs burned from the cold air entering and exiting at arapid rate.

Despite the growing physical discomfort, mentally I felt totally at home.

Approximately one mile into our route the rain started to drizzle on us. Iresponded with laughter, recalling the uncanny ability that Mother Nature seemedto have when electing to pour rain on my guys and I while training or conductingoperations in the military. Cold, now wet, and in pain, I was experiencing apeaceful tranquility that I had feared I would never again feel after leaving mytime in service.

Half way through our three-mile loop, we crossed a wooden footbridge thatspanned a creek that traced the border of my neighborhood. The boards wereslick from the cold rain, and my friend, bringing up the rear with Lucy perched onhis shoulder, lost his footing. I felt Lucy become weightless as she toppled off ofmy shoulder and crashed to the ground, rolling onto his now supine body. The

laughter came immediately, and did a bang up job in drowning out the string ofcurses that he was unleashing in the winter air.

Offering my gloved hand to him, I pulled him to his feet and we once againhoisted Lucy up to our shoulders.

We completed our three miles in the cold drizzle, again pausing on the returnroute to do our compulsory pushups at each stop sign. Upon returning to thehouse we carried Lucy, our new best friend, around the brick building and restedher gently down on the wooden deck in my back yard.

We sat on the cold concrete steps for a few minutes, warm despite the frigid

temperature, discussing how grueling yet great of an experience we had justendured. After a few minutes of quiet reflection, my friend got in his car anddrove off (later informing me that he pulled over to the side of the road en routeto his house to vomit) and I went inside to shower and get ready for the day.

The hot shower felt amazing as it rid my body of the seemingly massive goosebumps. Several refills of my water glass finally quenched my thirst when I gotout.

I got myself dressed and prepared to head out to the day’s task with my Dad, anew house under construction in which we were installing the basement gaslines. I beamed with excitement on the drive to work, in love with the idea that Iwould be repeating the task in two days when my friend was again able to meetme in the morning.

I did not know on that cold morning drive that those earlier events would givebirth to a brand and a legacy that would evolve into something truly amazing inthe years to come.

turn anyone away who was willing to work, I began to accept “donations” toGreyskull to compensate me for my time.

These donations took many forms. By this point I had a few females who weregetting in on the action, many of who “paid” me in the form of home-cooked food.I was more than happy to accept a meatloaf or a tray of homemade lasagna inexchange for whipping someone into shape with a quickness.

Other clients donated equipment. I got a squat rack, more dumbbells andkettlebells, and plenty of weight plates in this manner. Keep in mind that all of thisequipment was outside in all weather conditions.

Those who opted to give me money in trade donated an increasingly significantsum. I began to think that there may be something to doing this professionally, but questioned whether I possessed any of the capital or qualifications necessaryto “open a gym”. I was naively ignoring the fact that I had technically alreadydone that, and that my “qualification” was the expanding track record that I had of

getting serious, measurable results for those who sought my guidance.

Fortunately I did move forward and evolve my creation into a thriving businessthat eventually assuaged all of my financial concerns and provided for me animmensely fulfilling life, rich with rewarding work and financial abundance.

Today, in addition to operating my training business, I work with people aroundthe globe via various media such as phone consultations, ongoing coaching, seminars, books and eBooks, and my websites. I routinely help people with apassion for training and helping others achieve success in business doing that

which they love. At this stage, my track record for helping others establish lucrative, value richtraining enterprises is almost as expansive as my trail of success stories inhelping people change their health and their bodies.

My journey to my current position was not devoid of struggle or sacrificehowever. It hasn’t all been sunshine and roses.

I’ve spent more than my share of days and weeks broke, stressing over how Iwould pay my bills and expenses.

I’ve lost clients to scandal, and had former friends launch major vendettasagainst me, which have had major negative effects on my business and incomefor periods of time.

I’ve made every imaginable training mistake along the way, short of seriouslyinjuring a client.

I’ve invested money in ideas and ventures that seemed to be “sure things” only tofind myself out a massive chunk of savings and investment capital and onceagain struggling to pay the bills.

I’ve alienated a lot of former friends who were unable to accept my growth as anindividual and a businessman.

I’ve endured deep personal loss, losing family members along the way includingthe tragic and sudden death of my cousin Darlene who grew up alongside me asa sister. Along with the tremendous emotional hardship, her passing brought withit responsibilities due to stepping in as a father figure to her three children. Thisforced me to place business on the back burner for some time, causing amassive drop in my income and a loss of a substantial portion of my following.

I’ve experienced major relationship transitions that further derailed me from mypath, and forced adaptation with additional financial responsibilities andexpenses.

I’ve pissed off entire demographics of people with my stances and beliefs oncertain industry issues.

I’ve left some of the bigger name organizations in the industry, on bad terms, asa result of differing beliefs, values, and ideology.

Basically if there was a mistake to be made, I made it. If there was a setbackthrown in my way by life, I experienced it. What is important is what I was able todo with the feedback that I received, how I was able to turn these events intolearning experiences and return to the fight stronger with each slip or knockdown.

I wrote this book to tell my story to you, the trainer, or the aspiring trainer, so thatyou can benefit from the experience that I have had over the last decade in thisindustry, and my half a lifetime of experience in training others and myself.

I will show you in these pages how I went from broke to generating over tenthousand dollars per month in training income within my first few months as apersonal trainer, and how I made more than double that at times as the businessevolved.

I will also show you how I bounced back after losing ninety-percent of thatincome in less that one week following an unfortunate event.

I will teach you the lessons that I have learned about communicating with yourclients; information that is aggregated from my training experience, mybackground in Neurolinguistic Programming and applied Psychology, my time asa leader in the military, and my extensive peak performance and personaldevelopment coaching experience around the globe.
