The fifth edition of easyFairs® SyMas took place on 2-3 October 2013 in Cracow. This was

Poland’s only trade fair devoted especially to the handling, storage and processing of loose

and bulk materials. At the same time took place easyFairs® MAINTENANCE – a specialized

trade show devoted to maintenance in industrial plants.

Over the course of two days, 120 exhibitors from Poland, Denmark, Italy, Germany, France,

Czech Republic, Belgium, Finland, USA, Netherlands, Sweden, Great Britain presented a

diverse and interesting offer of products and services for the loose and bulk materials

industry and maintenance, i.e. machines, product innovations and technological solutions.

Primarily, these included verification instruments, filtering devices, separating equipment,

transportation devices, control and measurement equipment, storage solutions. There were

also suppliers of maintenance products and services, such as: condition monitoring,

lubrication, automatics, pneumatics, pumps & valves. Also the OUTSOURCING ZONE grown

up, where 14 exhibitors presented such services as: repairs, diagnostics, consulting services,

industrial relocation and training in the field of maintenance. The novelty was the ATEX

ZONE, where nearly 20 exhibitors presented explosion protection equipment, process

protection equipment and certification services for equipment used in areas where there is a

risk of explosion of dusts, vapors or gases.

VISITORS

Due to a wide range of solutions presented at the fair, it has gained recognition among about

1500 professional representatives from many sectors of industry. Most visitors came from such

sectors as:

easyFairs SyMas and easyFairs MAINTENANCE visitors are key decision makers in companies,

responsible for the purchase of new equipment or implementing new technologies. The fair was

attended by both the owners and presidents of companies, as well as engineers, technologists

and production managers and technical specialists.

POSITIONS IN A COMPANY

Results of a survey among trade fair visitors show that the vast majority - over 84% of

respondents - rated the offer presented at the fair as positive. Visitors appreciated both the

selection of exhibitors, as well as devices presented on trade fairs. They also enjoyed good

organization of fair, professional service and above all the atmosphere at the fair. Due to strictly

professional nature of the fair, it was visited only by specialists from the bulk solids industries

and maintenance professionals. Exhibitors and visitors appreciated also seminars and

conferences which took place in parallel with the fair. In addition to the inherent concept of

trade fairs seminars called learnShops ™, there was also 5th Polish Conference - MODERN

TECHNOLOGIES IN BULK SOLIDS INDUSTRY.

easyFairs Poland continued also a training project – the 2nd Academy of Maintenance, which

was attended by over 60 maintenance and production managers and engineers. Especially the

second project enjoyed the attention of the audience, because the presentations emphasized

the practical use of the knowledge transferred into practice during the training. Topics were

focused on good engineering and production practice in the following areas: Effectiveness in

Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Safety Maintenance, Reduction of Costs, CMMS systems,

Lean Manufacturing.

Summing the last edition of the SyMas and MAINTENANCE trade fairs it is worth

noticing that exhibition is increasing from year to year in numbers as well as exhibitors and

visitors - SyMas and MAINTENANCE trade fairs accumulated 10% more exhibitors than the

previous edition. Also, higher turnout of visitors proves clearly that there is a need of meetings

which are focused primarily on business networking and knowledge about new technology. We

hope that the next edition of our exhibition, which will be held in the new Trade Fair and

Congress Center – EXPO KRAKÓW will fit your expectations and in autumn 2014 Kraków again

will be the place where industry experts from bulk solids industry and maintenance specialists

will meet.
