The Creative Mind Academy (CMA) is a Summer institute for high school students in grades 11 and 12 from the US and all over the world. Over the course of 4 weeks, students com-plete 6 transferable college units at San Diego State Univer-sity’s (SDSU) beautiful campus. Programming consists of the-ory-based, and hands-on courses that prioritize experiential

About the music production curriculum

The primary focus of this class will be on the creation of musical art where diversity of style and approach is encouraged. This class takes on a hands-on approach, empha-

sizing learning through using technology to create music.

This course introduces students to concepts and processes for editing and creating dig-ital music including performing, recording, and editing tracks. The lab teaches students

to be well-rounded, resourceful, and entrepreneurial music producers.
