Members will gain experience with some of our local landmarks while learning from experienced adventures. DIRECTORS CUT TEEN FILM CAMPLights! Camera! Action packed camp experience coming this Summer. This camp will equip members with the skills necessary to produce their own film. Storyboard, script writing, shooting film, and editing all take place in this camp. Members will complete a film as part of a production team to create a masterpiece. The act of gardening itself promotes a healthy members!! Kids LOVE to get their hands and feet in the dirt. Time in the garden allows for team building and promotes communication skills. Planning a garden, planting the seeds and watching them grow give kids a sense of purpose and responsibility. Making sure that the plants get enough fertilizer, water and sun fosters mindfulness. ENGINEERING CAMP Engineering Camp is here! Our young engineering minds will have the opportunity to explore and dive into the many opportunities engineering has to offer. With hands-on activities members will participate in the problem solving, design, and creating processes of engineering. MAD SCIENCE CAMP Science can be crazy…but that’s what makes it fun! This camp provides young scientists the opportunity to participate in a variety of science experiments, all of which are designed to encourage learners to question, investigate, and play with different materials and liquids. STREAM & TRAILS CAMPThis epic camp will get your kid ST(R)EAMed up to go back to school. This camp makes the great outdoors of Northern Nevada into the most interactive and exciting classroom. The sky is literally the limit to what can happen each day. So join in as we create our own adventures in nature and gain insight from teachers and wilderness guides. ART EXPLORERS CAMP Explore art through the ages in this hands-on camp! CHEERLEADING CAMPCampers are instructed on the basics of cheerleading including: dancing, motions, jumps, chants, cheers, tumbling, stunts, spirit and performance skills. CAMPGoGirlGo!, is an award winning program about sports education, and works to improve the health of girls and keeps them involved in physical activity by enhancing their lives physically, emotionally and socially. EXTREME TEAM CHALLENGE CAMP (YOUTH)Build friendships, learn sportsmanship and become part of a team! Club members will be split up into random teams at the beginning of camp. Each team will create their own team name, logo and banner. Teams will spend the week competing in fun and crazy sports challenges and games in order to earn team points and the title of Extreme Team Champions! JUNIOR GIANTS BASEBALLTake me out to the ballgame! Junior Giants is a FREE, non-competitive and innovative baseball program for boys and girls ages 5-12 years old, with separate teams for T-ball (5-6 year olds), Minors (7-9 year olds), and Majors, 10-13 year olds). Sponsored by the San Francisco Giants Community Fund, each child receives a specialty T-shirt and hat. A glove is also available for those who meet the needs criteria.
