We allow families to define themselves. The YMCA recognizes domestic partnerships.

*Two adults in a committed relationship with dependent children less than age 19, unless child is less than age 23 and enrolled as a full-time student, and/or dependent adults all residing in the same household. This is to include elderly parents living with their children, live-in nannies or au pairs and adults with disabilities living with their parents.

SCHOLARSHIP/FEE WAIVER At the Greater La Grange YMCA, we give children a safe place to play and learn. We give teens positive role models and constructive activities. We give families opportunities to spend quality time together and build strong relationships. We give our seniors a reason to get out and enjoy life and to share their vast experience with others.

It is the goal of the YMCA to provide educational, social and physical development services in our community, regardless of a person's ability to pay.

A waiver or reduction of fees is available subject to facility and program capacity, and demonstrated need, without regard to race, color, nationality, religion, gender, age or disability. If you need financial assistance, please stop by the front desk and ask for a scholarship application.

PRESCHOOL CAMPS

HEALTHY KIDS PRESCHOOL CAMP Age: 3-7 Dates: Sessions 1-11 Time: 9:30am-12pm

Location: Zion Lutheran Church, 7930 Ogden Ave, Lyons, IL 60534

Parents can rely on a safe, fun and inexpensive experience for their child during the summer. Drop your kids at our new offsite classrooms at Zion Lutheran Church. Qualified YMCA staff will supervise your children as they engage in outdoor fun, crafts, games, songs, story time.

Fees: $23 Member / $35 Non-Member*

*Camp Fee is per day. Sign-up is due no less than 5 days in advance. A minimum of 8 children is required to run camp.

MINI GL TRAVELERS CAMP Mini GL Travelers Camp is designed for youth entering P4-Kindergarten grades, to grow and increase self-confidence while developing values, respect and self-esteem. Children make lifelong friends and have fun! Daily activities include crafts, sports, singing, group games, healthy kids activities and one day a week that will go on a scheduled field trip. Each session is one week and campers may sign up for one or more weeks.

YOUTH CAMPS

GL TRAVELERS SUMMER CAMP GL Travelers Camp is designed for youth entering 1st-6th grades, to grow and increase self-confidence while developing values, respect and self-esteem. Children make lifelong friends and have fun! Daily activities include crafts, sports, singing group games, healthy kids activities and Friday field trips. Campers will travel to local YMCAs for swimming, rock climbing and other outdoor activities. Each session is one week and campers may sign up for one or more weeks.

ADVENTURE CAMPS Skate Park Challenge* We'll be visiting two skate parks a day in the Chicagoland area. A fantastic opportunity for the beginner and advanced skater.

Fee: $140 Member/ $180 Non-member

Thrill Week* For one week- kids age 9-12 will have the time of their young lives. Play laser tag and go on various field trips into Chicago. The highlight of this boondoogle is a trip to Great America.

Date: August 3- 7

Fee: $205 Member/$255 Non-member

*Be sure to register early. Camp will be cancelled if there are less than 6 registered on the Wednesday prior to the first day of camp.

SPECIALTY CAMPS All Speciality camps will be held at the Indian Boundary YMCA 711 59th St., Downers Grove.

Fees are in addition to GL Travelers Summer Camp.

YOUTH CAMPS

Animal Care Camp Kids will learn the intake process of caring for stray and abandoned domestic animals as well as the rehabilitation process of wild life.

App Camp This camp offers participants a way to take their imagination and apply it to creating a one of kind app they have created.

Archery This half-day camp will teach your camper proper shooting technique, safety, and equipment use.

Badminton Camp This racquet sport will be played and taught to single and doubles opponents.

Basketball Camp This camp will teach your athlete dribbling, passing, and shooting with a games approach teaching method.

Beginning Skateboard Camp Learn how to stay on your board, change direction, and go down ramps.

Bowling Camp Campers will be transported to area bowling alleys to be coached in new skills to improve their scores.

Camp Art Campers will learn to draw and also paint with various types of brushes, techniques, and materials.

Country Club Sports Campers will learn such sports as golf, polo, lacrosse, swimming, tennis and so much more.

Destination Way This camp helps children work on team building skills in preparation for entering “Destination Imgination” competitions.

Dodgeball Camp We will use soft gatorballs in this fast paced, high octane camp. Learn new strategies and maneuvers.

Fishing Camp Join us as we visit our local pond and learn the basics on how to fish.

Floor Hockey Camp Campers will learn the game of hockey while working on passing, puck handling and shooting.

Frisbee Golf Camp Campers will be transported to various Frisbee golf courses after learning the rules and regulation of play.

Football Camp Learn the fundamentals of passing, receiving and playing defense. Daily scrimmages will be played.

Mythbusters Camp Kids will explore basic science questions through experiments and fun activities.

Outdoor Survival Skills Campers will learn how to orienteer, canoe, pitch tents and overcome challenges set before them as individuals and teams.

Paintball Camp Campers work individually and as teams to create opportunities to maximize their full potential against would be opponents.

Rock Adventure Climbing Camp Learn the basics fundamentals and techniques of rock climbing.

Spy Kids Come learn some basic spy techniques and have fun being a spy.

Soccer Camp A great camp to learn and improve your soccer skills and team concepts.

Tennis Camp Learn the fundamentals of serving, the forehand & backhand, and serve and volley.

Zoom Science Campers will do experiments using chemistry, engineering, life science and more.

TEEN ESCAPE

TEEN ESCAPE SUMMER TOUR 2015 Looking for something more than just an ordinary summer? Want to hang out with friends all day and go on fun, exciting trips? Look no further! Teen Escape will take you and your friends on an interesting, new adventure every day! Teen Escape is a great way to meet new friends, build self esteem and create new opportunities for you.

Teen Escape is designed to keep teens engaged and active in a positive community-based program. Teens will be given opportunities to show their individual talents, build lifelong friendships and skills, and create new goals to achieve. Activities will be challenging and build YMCA values of Responsibility, Respect, Caring, and Honesty. Camp activities include sports, games, crafts, hiking, leadership development, rock climbing, swimming, community service, and cookouts. In addition teens take part in health and fitness activities, such as Zumba and yoga and can develop their leadership skills through team-building activities and by assisting our Kindergarten Counselors in leading activities for the younger campers.

Monday through Thursday every week is a new, exciting, challenging adventure! Fridays are spent rock climbing, swimming, playing sports and cooking out at the YMCA.

Field trips include: Whirlyball, Six Flags, Camp Duncan,professional baseball games, arcades, water parks, laser tag, Starved Rock, movies, bowling, and so much more!

There will be special opportunities for overnights and extended field trips that will require a small additional fee. Join us this summer for new and exciting adventures that are better than ever.

Program Hours: Camp is in session Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm. Extended care is available at no additional charge. Extended hours are available at 6:30-9am and from 4-6pm. Adult sign-in and sign-out is required upon drop off and pick up.

Facilities: Teens Escape will begin and end each day at the YMCA. We will be taking full advantage of our fantastic facilities as well as enjoying adventures beyond our boundaries. Our schedule includes local and offsite

short trips on Monday and Fridays (weather permitting). Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays we will venture out to explore new boundaries. Session Date Camp Theme
