My knees hurt after exercise!  My feet ache!  I want to be able to get on the ground to play with my grandchildren!  These are common comments that you

WELLNESS CORNER: from Lori May - Class X may be able to do something about!  Aquatic exercise is a low-impact activity that takes the pressure off your bones, joints and muscles. While you could be thinking that you will NEVER get in the water, no one wants to see me in a suit, or there is no way I’m

getting in a swim suit, no one else is even paying attention.  That is in YOUR head and YOU are the one who can make it ok to get into a suit.  Likely, you are more unkind to yourself than others are.  Stop it.  Are you really going to let that keep you from living a good quality of life?  Water exercise offers SO many benefits.

As the saying goes, “An act of kindness goes a long way”. With that said it is understandable why Jay Rowh received the Leadership Mitchell County Service Award.

An honorarium was awarded to Rowh which he has chosen to use for the Mitchell County Historical Society, Solomon Valley Transportation and the Waconda Cultural Association.

“Small towns have to survive through volunteering. There are so many that volunteer and do unselfishly. I always volunteer because it needs to be done and I am willing to do it. I am honored and humbled with this award, but there are so many that are also qualified.”
