Sunbrella superior pigments are added duringthe production of fade-resistantSunbrella fibre. The final result isSunbrella yarn and fabric withcolour throughout that won'tfade or wash away. Think"carrot".

In ordinary fabrics, dyes are addedto the surface of the yarn or fabric.The colour only penetrates theouter layer and washes out or fades away over time. Think"radish".

Sunbrella fabrics are amazingly easy tomaintain, and most spills can be cleaned withmild soap and water. For tough stains,bleach can be used without fear of damagingthe fabric or removing the color.

The best way to keep Sunbrella fabricslooking good is to properly maintain them bybrushing off dirt before it becomesembedded and wiping up spills as soon asthey occur.

Dickson Constant warrants the rot-proof properties and colour fastness (7/8minimum colour fastness under exposure to ultra-violet rays and bad weatherconditions, according to the NF EN ISO 105 B02 and NF EN ISO 105 B04standards – variations in shade over time are therefore limited) of its Sunbrellaawning fabrics for 10 years.

This warranty is valid under the following terms and conditions:

- For 8 years, Dickson Constant shall either replace free of charge or, at itsconvenience, reimburse the invoice value of the section of fabric recognizedas faulty, excluding any costs or any other compensation for any reasonwhatsoever.

- In the event of a justified complaint after the 8th year, and taking intoaccount depreciation due to wear, the warranty will consist of a discount on thepurchase of a new fabric: 30% during the 9th year and 15% during the 10th year,at the rate applicable on the day of the complaint. This rate is available ondemand from your dealer.

- Any complaint must be sent within ten days of the defect being noticed,accompanied by the purchase invoice, via registered mail with confirmation ofreceipt to the retailer where the product was initially bought. He will acknowledgethe defect and transmit your request to Dickson-Constant.

- The fabric must be kept available to the experts of Dickson Constant or itsinsurance company.

- Replacement or reimbursement of the defective fabric does not extend theduration of the original warranty.

This conventional warranty covers only the rot-proof properties and colourfastness of Sunbrella fabrics regularly maintained, under normal use andenvironment. It shall under no circumstances pose an obstacle to the legalguarantees.

Care and cleaningComfortable, beautiful, and oh so liveable, Sunbrella fabric makes your outdoor room worry-free. It's amazingly easy to maintain, and most stains can becleaned with mild soap and water. For tough stains, bleach can be used without fear of damaging the fabric or removing the colour. With this kind ofdurability and a wide range of styles, what's not to love?

One of the best ways to keep Sunbrella fabrics looking good and to delay deep or vigorous cleaning is to properly maintain the fabrics. This can beaccomplished by simply brushing off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics, wiping up stains as soon as they occur or spot cleaning them soonafter.

General or light cleaning• Brush off any loose dirt.• Hand wash as follows:• Prepare a cleaning solution of 60 ml mild soap for 4 l of lukewarm water (less than 40°C).• Clean with a soft bristle brush and allow cleaning solution to soak into fabric.• Rinse thoroughly and allow fabric to air dye.

Heavy cleaning for stubborn stains and mildewSunbrella fabric does not promote mildew growth, however, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances that are not removed from the fabric.To clean mildew, or other stubborn stains:• Prepare a solution of 240 ml of bleach and 60 ml of mild soap for 4l of clean water. Spray on entire area and allow to soak into the fabric.• Scrub vigorously with a soft bristle brush, rinse thoroughly and allow fabric to air dry.If stain and/or mildew are severe, bleach quantities may be increased.

Re-treating the fabric for ease of cleaningSunbrella fabrics have a special finish that enhances water repellency. The finish is designed to last for several years of normal use, but may be refreshedwith a water repellent product. This last one restores your fabrics’ lost water-repellency. It stops leaks, resists soiling, impedes mildew formation andprotects against the sun’s harmful UV rays. It is also very efficient inpreventing seam leakage.
