Air Ambulances provide an invaluable service, not only in a rural areas and at events such as this, but throughout the country and in everyday life. The Midlands Air Ambulance has saved the lives of many people within our own

£1 MEDICAL CHARGE There will be a charge of £1 per horse, which will go towards the cost of providing medical cover. This will be payable at the time of booking entries. ENTRIES for all horse/pony classes must be made with the Secretary and paid for before the start of each class. The exceptions are; Clear Round jumping, Handy Pony & Dog Show entries – please pay at the ringside. CUPS All cups & trophies must be signed for by a responsible adult - please see the cup secretary. Cups should be returned by 30th June 2017 – please contact our Cup Secretary on: 01686 670737.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY – The Organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone on the show field. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organiser and all the officials. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY - No liability can be accepted by the Organiser for any loss, damage, injury, accident or illness to horses, riders, dogs, handlers, owners, spectators, vehicles, their contents and accessories, or to any person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever. Competitors are advised to have their own Public Liability insurance. EMERGENCIES
Emergency Services must have access to all parts of the show field at all times – no vehicles should be parked so as to obstruct access.
In case of an emergency, members of the public should contact the secretary or nearest official who will contact the Medical Officer or Emergency Services as necessary.
GENERAL CARE
Entry to show field only, not to neighbouring land or tracks.
Horses can be easily frightened and can be dangerous. Members of the public are requested to remain in the spectator areas only, keeping clear of horse arenas/lanes, and to avoid behaviour which might alarm horses or dogs ie, sudden movements or loud noises.
All children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times and those riding must be supervised by an adult experienced with horses.
Dogs must be kept under control at all times and must be kept on leads except where permitted to do so by the Dog Show Judge or Steward.

GUNDOG SCURRY £2 per run Commencing at 2pm
Steeplechase – the dog has to retrieve a dummy thrown at the end of a row of jumps.
Retrieve – The dog has to retrieve two dummies, one marked the other blind. The dummy thrower will attract the dog’s attention and throw the first dummy into a prescribed area. The dog will be sent and has to bring the dummy back to the handler who is waiting within a designated area. The dog should then be sent for the second dummy, which will have been thrown into the same area.
If you’re new to this and you’d just like to ‘have a go’, the retrieve can be done as a ‘single’ retrieve – don’t be shy, please ask at the ring, we’ll be only too happy to help.

COMPETITORS PLEASE NOTE:
Horses with an infectious disease or known to have been in
contact with such must not attend the show field.
No entries will be accepted without payment of fees and extra £1
medical charge per horse – see page 5.
Classes with 3 entries or less will receive a 1st place rosette only.
First prize winners are NOT eligible to compete in Local classes.
Local Classes – owners to reside within a 7 mile radius of the
Anchor.
Young Handlers – 16 years and under, must be competent. Any
ponies out of control will be asked to leave the ring.
Children entered in the ‘Leading Rein’ Class 13 may enter other
classes, but must be on the Lead rein.
Mountain and Moorland to be shown in their natural state.
Horses are to be kept in Competitor areas only – they are not to be
taken into public areas or to the Entry Secretary
No galloping around the show field.
Horses known to kick must wear a red band on their tail.
Stallions must be bitted, and handled by an adult.

Appropriate headgear and suitable footwear must be worn at all
times whilst riding.
Correct Competitor Numbers must be worn and be visible whilst
competing.
Horses must be under the supervision of an experienced,
responsible adult and under control at all times. No person may
handle or ride another person’s horse without permission.
Any persons reported for abusing a horse or using foul language
will be ejected from the show field.
Horses should not be left unattended whilst tethered
The Judge’s decision is final.
The decision of the Committee will be final in matters of dispute
and they reserve the right to amend, amalgamate or cancel any
class and to refuse any entry at their own discretion.
Objections must be made in writing to the show secretary within
30 minutes of the incident and a deposit of £5 lodged, which will
be forfeited if the objection is overruled.
Agreement with the above rules are deemed a condition of entry.
