Thank you for supporting the Anchor Show

& the Midlands Air Ambulance The Anchor Show is organized by the Anchor & District Pony Breeders’

Society. Our aim is to give competitors a good, fun day out whilst raising money for charity. Once again our chosen charity is

the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Air Ambulances provide an invaluable service, not only in a rural areas and at events such as this, but throughout the country and in everyday life. The Midlands Air Ambulance has saved the lives of many people within our own

community, which is why it’s so important to us all.

GUNDOG SCURRY £2 per run Commencing at 2pm

Steeplechase – the dog has to retrieve a dummy thrown at the end of a row of jumps.

Retrieve – The dog has to retrieve two dummies, one marked the other blind. The dummy thrower will attract the dog’s attention and throw the first dummy into a prescribed area. The dog will be sent and has to bring the dummy back to the handler who is waiting within a designated area. The dog should then be sent for the second dummy, which will have been thrown into the same area.

If you’re new to this and you’d just like to ‘have a go’, the retrieve can be done as a ‘single’ retrieve – don’t be shy, please ask at the ring, we’ll be only too happy to help.

Scurry and Racing - whatever breed you have come along and have a go!

DOG RACING

Organisers: Neil & Tina Sanders

Entry: £1 per race

Always lots of fun to watch and run!

This will take place after the Companion Dog Show but no earlier than 3pm

For Terriers, Lurchers and any other breeds - races can be organised to suit anyone wishing to have a go.
