On April 28, the Supreme Court will hear arguments for and against redefining marriage in America. The

American cornerstone of ordered society, which is marriage between a man and a woman, is in serious trouble. The consequences of this court decision could have staggering results…our religious freedoms will be in danger and the foundation for all of our freedoms will be at risk.

We will have our Discipleship classes from 4:30-5:30 pm tonight and join this rally at 6:00 pm.

Another Awana year has come and gone. The Lord blessed us

with a wonderful Awards Night! Bro. Ricky baptized 4 children,

we ate hot dogs, jumped in an inflatable, and spent all our Awana points in the

Awana store! Thanks to our 75 Awana workers! Enjoy your summer break and

hope you return in the fall. Ending our 16th year of Awana clubs!

A special thank you to all our food volunteers this Awana

year! We enjoyed a delicious meal each week! Suppers will

resume in the fall when Awana returns. God Bless you all!

What will we do after Awana ends? Your child can join the “Piney VBS” children’s drama/musical by attending our practices. Please come join the fun ! ! ! We assemble in the gym! We only have a few practices so it is very important to attend each one! For ages 3 through 6th grade! Our VBS theme this year is “Journey Off The Map!”

What: JOY Group Outing When: Sat. May 2nd, 2:00 pm Where: Benefield’s cabin! We are going to have hot dogs. Everything to fix a hot dog will be furnished. Could you help by bringing chips, dips, drinks and sweets? There will be games to play. Come enjoy an afternoon of fun, food and fellowship!

VBS Worker’s Meeting is Wednesday May 6th in the Fellowship Hall at 6 p.m.

This is the ONLY night we get together and talk about our VBS at Piney! We are

asking workers to bring their favorite sandwiches, desserts & soft drinks, and

we will enjoy them during our training time.

*We will have decorated rooms ready to view & breakout sessions including:

* Crafts: Led by Joy Queen in C200 * Preschool: Led by Pam Garmon in C107 *1st & 2nd grade Bible Study: Led by Bonnie Copeland in C206 *3rd & 4th grade Bible Study: Led by Sonya Triplett in C203 *5th & 6th grade Bible Study: Led by Carolyn Petty in C201 *Boys Craft Leaders, Recreation, & Refreshment teams will also meet. *Even though we have special rooms ready for you to view later in the evening, the meeting begins in the Fellowship Hall!

Bring your teaching packet and a sample of the crafts you are making with your

class and let’s all share our ideas! We will learn the theme song and T-shirts will be for

sale! If you can donate a small door prize that would be nice, but not required! We always

have lots of food, fun, fellowship, and leave excited about VBS! Childcare for all ages is

provided! STOP by the GYM first and leave your children at childcare and kids choir.

The children will not eat with us but will be served a pizza supper in the gym…

The date for CAMP PINEY is June 15-19. If there are teens wanting to work at Camp Piney, first consideration will

be given to those that also volunteered at VBS and attend church regularly! Camp Piney job applications are on info. tables. Camp Piney hopes to open registration May 8th on-line and have the paper version on the gym tables. Camp is for kids that have completed real kindergarten through 6th grade.
