Books make wonderful gifts for children. They are timeless and entertaining and most of all, a wonderful way to show your child that books are precious things to have in your home.
Consider giving a book next time you need to pick a gift.
DID YOU KNOW?
Sit closely with your child and look at the cover. Point out Sunday Chutney.
Ask your child what things they notice about her, and where they think she might be.
As you read, be expressive. Sunday is a fun-loving and out there little girl who needs to come to life from your reading.
Stop and look at the illustrations as you go. Did you notice the funny moments captured in the photograph stills that the author has drawn?
Talk about how Sunday thought she was unusual. Why do you think she thought that?
Perhaps you have a camera and would like to take some photos to make a little book about your child, and together list all the things that make them special.
