Thus says the LORD: All you who are thirsty, come to the water! You who have no money, come, receive grain and eat; Come, without paying and without cost, drink wine and milk! Why spend your money for what is not bread; your wages for what fails to satisfy? Heed me, and you shall eat well, you shall delight in rich fare. Come to me heedfully, listen, that you may have life. I will renew with you the everlasting covenant, the benefits assured to David.
Brothers and sisters: What will separate us from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword? No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Hermanos: ¿Qué cosa podrá apartarnos del amor con que nos
ama Cristo? ¿Las tribulaciones? ¿Las angustias? ¿La perse-
cución? ¿El hambre? ¿La desnudez? ¿El peligro? ¿La espada?
Ciertamente de todo esto salimos más que victoriosos, gracias a aquel que nos ha amado; pues estoy convencido de que ni la muerte ni la vida, ni los ángeles ni los demonios, ni el presente ni el futuro, ni los poderes de este mundo, ni lo alto ni lo bajo, ni creatura alguna podrá apartarnos del amor que nos ha mani-festado Dios en Cristo Jesús.
En aquel tiempo, al enterarse Jesús de la muerte de Juan el
Bautista, subió a una barca y se dirigió a un lugar apartado y
solitario. Al saberlo la gente, lo siguió por tierra desde los
pueblos. Cuando Jesús desembarcó, vio aquella
muchedumbre, se compadeció de ella y curó a los enfermos.
Como ya se hacía tarde, se acercaron sus discípulos a de-
cirle: “Estamos en despoblado y empieza a oscurecer. Despi-
de a la gente para que vayan a los caseríos y compren algo
de comer”. Pero Jesús les replicó: “No hace falta que vayan.
Denles ustedes de comer”. Ellos le contestaron: “No tenemos
aquí más que cinco panes y dos pescados”. Él les dijo:
“Tráiganmelos”.
Luego mandó que la gente se sentara sobre el pasto. Tomó
los cinco panes y los dos pescados, y mirando al cielo, pro-
nunció una bendición, partió los panes y se los dio a los
discípulos para que los distribuyeran a la gente. Todos comi-
eron hasta saciarse, y con los pedazos que habían sobrado,
se llenaron doce canastos. Los que comieron eran unos cinco
mil hombres, sin contar a las mujeres y a los niños.
Esto dice el Señor: “Todos ustedes, los que tienen sed, vengan por agua; y los que no tienen dinero, vengan, tomen trigo y coman; tomen vino y leche sin pagar.
¿Por qué gastar el dinero en lo que no es pan y el salario, en lo que no alimenta?
Escúchenme atentos y comerán bien, saborearán platillos sustanciosos. Préstenme atención, vengan a mí, escúchenme y vivirán. Sellaré con ustedes una alianza perpetua, cumpliré las promesas que hice a David’’.
When Jesus heard of the death of John the Baptist,
he withdrew in a boat to a deserted place by himself.
The crowds heard of this and followed him on foot from their towns.
When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd,
his heart was moved with pity for them, and he cured their sick.
When it was evening, the disciples approached him and said,
“This is a deserted place and it is already late;
dismiss the crowds so that they can go to the villages
and buy food for themselves.”
Jesus said to them, “There is no need for them to go away;
give them some food yourselves.”
But they said to him,
“Five loaves and two fish are all we have here.”
Then he said, “Bring them here to me, ”
and he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass.
Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven,
he said the blessing, broke the loaves,
and gave them to the disciples,
who in turn gave them to the crowds.
They all ate and were satisfied,
and they picked up the fragments left over—
twelve wicker baskets full.Those who ate were about five thousand men,
not counting women and children.

CREED
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, At the words that follow, up to and including ‘and became man’, all bow. and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

CREDO
Creo en un solo Dios, Padre todopoderoso, Creador del cielo y de la tierra, de todo lo visible y lo invisible. Creo en un solo Señor, Jesucristo, Hijo único de Dios, nacido del Padre antes de todos los siglos: Dios de Dios, Luz de Luz, Dios verdadero de Dios verdadero, engendrado, no creado, de la misma naturaleza del Padre, por quien todo fue hecho; que por nosotros, los hombres, y por nuestra salvación bajó del cielo, y por obra del Espíritu Santo se encarnó de María, la Virgen, y se hizo hombre; y por nuestra causa fue crucificado en tiempos de Poncio Pilato; padeció y fue sepultado, y resucitó al tercer día, según las Escrituras, y subió al cielo, y está sentado a la derecha del Padre; y de nuevo vendrá con gloria para juzgar a vivos y muertos, y su reino no tendrá fin. Creo en el Espíritu Santo, Señor y dador de vida, que procede del Padre y del Hijo, con el Padre y el Hijo recibe una misma adoración y gloria, y que habló por los profetas. RESPETA A TUS PADRES
Ante todo debes enseñarles a sus hijos a ser agradecidos desde pequeños y no les den pescado, ensénales a pescar. Y algo no menos importante: No les ensene a ser sober-bios ni egoístas. Y no olviden nunca que: Lo que se siembra se cosecha. Honra a tu padre y a tu madre para que vivas una larga vida en la tierra que te da el Señor tu Dios. (Ex. 20,12) Respeta de todo corazón tu padre, y no olvides de cuanto sufrió tu madre para tenerte. Recuerda que de ellos naciste ¿Cómo podrás pagarles lo que han hecho por ti? (Eclesiástico 7, 27 28) Hijo mio honra a tu padre con obras y palabras, haz de recibir toda clase de bendicio-nes. El honor de un hijo está en el honor de su padre; en cambio, el que desprecia a su madre se llena de pecados. Hijo mio empéñate en honrar a tu padre; no lo abandones mientras tenga vida. Aunque su inteligencia se debilite, se comprensivo con él; no lo avergüences mientras viva. Socorrer al padre es algo que no se olvidara: será como ofrecer sacrificios por los pecados. Cuando esten en aflicción Dios se acordara de ti y perdonara tus pecados, como el calor derrite el hielo, el que abandona a su padre ofende al Señor y el que hace enojar a su madre es maldecido por Dios. (Eclo 3, 3-16) El que maldice a su padres o a su madre, morira en la más espantosa oscuridad (Prov. 20.20) Atiende a tu padre que te engendro y no desprecies a tu madre que te engendro (prover.23, 22) El que mira a su padre con desprecio y se burla de su madre anciana, merece que los cuervos le saquen los ojos y que las águilas lo devoren (Prov. 30, 17) Hijos, obedezcan a sus padres por amor al Señor porque esto es justo. El primer man-damiento que contiene una promesa es de, honra a tu padre y a tu madre, para que seas feliz y vivas una larga vida en la tierra (Efes. 6,1)
