MANUFACTURING

Sunteak furniture is selected by the most demanding customers who insist on the best and so we believe

that we have to be the very best in all that we do starting with the manufacturing. European management

team and employs over 100 people.

In addition to teak, Sunteak is expert in the use of a variety of materials for the manufacturer of our

furniture.

Extensive use is made of stainless steel and sling material and there are specialist departments within

the factory entirely devoted to the working of these materials to the same high standards as our teak

components. We also work in partnership with a few select manufacturers who have specialist skills and

techniques that we do not have in our own manufacturing plant. These factories have been chosen because

of their ability to produce the highest quality consistent with our standards.

Every piece of Sunteak furniture is manufactured to our high standards by skilled furniture makers and

each items hand finished to guarantee years of service indemanding contions.

All our teak furniture is manufactured from first

grade plantation grown teakwood (Tectona

grandis) obtained from legal sources in

Indonesia. The high oil content of teakwood

makes it stable and resistant to rotting when

exposed to extremes of weather. With time,

teakwood will weather to a silver grey colour.

For several centuries, this special quality has

made teakwood the choice for marine

construction and the finest timber for outdoor

furniture. We have combined many years of

manufacturing experience with the best

materials and design excellence to ensure that

all our products are comfortable, functional and

WOVEN FURNITURE

Woven furniture retains the classic style of traditional

wicker pieces, but with the added benefit of complete

weather resistance. In addition, because every piece is

hand-woven, each item is completely unique - as

individual as the person who wove it. We weave over

fully welded, powder coated aluminium frames, making

the furniture both light and highly resistant to corrosion.

All our woven furniture is made from only the highest

quality man-made fibre. Soft to the touch, this

remarkable material has many benefits including high

suppleness, tear resistance, UV resistance and weather

resistance. The polyethylene based, extruded and

through-dyed wicker is also completely weatherproof,

insensitive to differences in temperature and extremely

hard wearing.

Our Deluxe parasols are equipped with a double set of

pulleys - so you will only need ¼ of the power to open it

compared to a standard parasol. The covering is attached

with leather bags at the end of each frame. if cleaning

should become necessary you can remove the covering

easily.

workmanship: pole, frames and peak are made of solid teak

wood and all fittings are made of stainless steel. This does

Stainlees Steel

All our stainlees steel items are made of from 304 grade stainlees steel - the industry standart for outdoor seating products. The standart brushed finished provides a smooth, resistant surface that is as appealing to the touch as it is easy to clean and maintain.

Maintenance

Stainlees steel needs regular maintenancein order to keep it clean and shiny. The use of scoctchbrite pad, stainlees steel cleaner and polisher is advised, which cleans and leaves a fine protective layer on surface which helps to prevent the build up of contaminants. Avoid the use of scrubbers like steelwool, which may contain overly abrasive metal parts. Never use chlorine based products. Exposure to salty air may cause minor superficial corrosion, called tea staining, which requires cleaning. This is normal, after all. All stainlees steel exist out of minimum 60% steel. Do NOT lock up our stainlees steel furniture in an non ventilated shack to avoind staining. Care should occur more often in maritime areas, about two times per year.

Teak

Teak is a close-grained hardwood with uniquely high natural oil content. Teak is exceptionally hard wearing, highly resistant to rotting and almost impervious to the effects of sun, rain, frost, or snow. For these reason, teak is the firstchoice timber for outdoor furniture. Only premium grade plantation grown teak is used in Sunteak furniture. The feature of premium grade teak are consistent grain structure, the absence of knots, splits or cracks. All teak furniture comes in natural smooth finished.

Maintenance

Maintenance Left to age naturally, your teak furniture will gradually change to a beautifull soft, silvergrey. If you want your teak to develop this lovely gray patina this is all the care your furniture needs. Ot quality teak furniture does not require any special maintenance or protection apart from occasional cleaning. This can be done with a hard brush, soap and water or a teak cleaner product. It is advisable to treat the table top with and invisible teakshield againts foodstains, twice a year, which will help to maintain the silver-gray patina. If one wishes to keep the honey brown color, there is a teak

protector available, however this product doesn not alter the longevity in any way, only the appearance, and it needs to be regularly re-applied, so it will be adding a lot to the maintenance. Make sure the product you use are water based and not oil based. Our high quality teak already has a very high oil content, and we advise againts adding more oil. Even after years being outside and becoming completely whitish gray, you can bring back the natural color with a product called teak brightener. It eats the thin gray layer so the natural brown color shows again. The choice is yours on how you want you teak furniture to look. Buy your products from a specialized teak retailer whom can inform and ensure you it is suited for intended use.

Batyline

Batyline is made by French company, Ferarri and is widely used in premium outdoor furniture. Batyline is an extremely durable and high quality m a t e r i a l c o n s i s t i n g o f p o l y e s t e fiber covered by a coating of PVC, making it nearly impossible to tear. It is 100% synthetic and resistant to rot andmildew. It I highly resistant to UV radiation and fading. It can withstand temperature extremes, ranging from -30C to 70C It is and ideal material to be used near swimming pools or other aggressive environment with chlorine or salt water Sagging is minimal as it has a maximum stretch of 3%. It also has a “memory” it will slowly regain tis original shape after it has used, especially when place out in the sun.

Maintenance

The facts that there is no moisture absorptionresults in quick-drying action, little sensivityto staining and simplicity in cleaning Batylinefabric can be cleaned by just the wipe of asponge with soapy water. Reclimed Teak

Reclimed teak is tremendously durable and retains its integrity in the face of expected knocks and marks that a well used pieces of furniture will experience. Reclimed teak has exposed over the years, created mature seeds, beautiful and rich colors such as forest plantations. It is a very hard weight, strong wood, common oily to the touch. This oil on teak wood makes it very robust. Most sustainable furniture made from hardwood recycle or reclimed because it is the most durable and life family-proof. Notched and scratches are integral part of the furniture and an aide memorie of the chronological quality of the wood.

Maintenance

Teak does not require any special maintenance routine. Left outside the exposed surface will become a soft silver grey in color. Beside weather will case some surface erasion leading to slight surface roughness, possible mildew and checking. Checking is a natural process that occurs when teak develops small crack in the end grain. However this does not affect the durability of teak furniture.

Glass

Sunteak glass table tops are made form toughened / tempered glass which in the event of a breakage will shatter into small pieces and not into large sharps shards. All glass has a tolerance from the manufacturing process that is is not completely flat or straight and there may be a variation of some milimeters. It is therefore important that all loose glass is laid on the rubber bumper supplied with the table frame to take up any tolerance and where multiple pieces are put together there may be small overlaps. Painted Surface - Underside The underneath surface of the glass is painted with ceramic paint which is baked into the glass at 600C ( 1100F for a permanent weather proof finished. This ceramic paint is then over painted with exterior quality paint to provide a smooth uniform color underneath the table top. Acid etched glass has a translucent, and satin-like appearance which obscures view while maintaining a high level of light transmittance. The frosted effect will not degrade or wear, peel or discolor. Thanks to it uniformly smooth surface, marks such as fingerprints can be easily removed, unlike traditional and sandblasted glass.

All weather wicker

All of our wicker furniture is hand woven with Viro Fiber, a premium synthetic Polyethylene fiber. Viro is high flexible UV and weather resistant. This fiber is designed to be insensitive to temperature difference ranging batween -25C - 70C. It is 100% recyclable and resistant tochlorine and salt water. Viro fiber is guaranteed for 3 years from delivery to withstand fading, weathering or cracking. The mechanichal and phusical properties of Viro have been tested by the Sentra Teknologi Polimer, Indonesia and the productivity and Standart Board, in Singapore in accordance with the test methods issued by the American Society for testing and Materials ( ASTM ) and the International Organization for Standardization ( ISO ).

Maintenance

Being a synthetic material, our all weather wicker outdoor furnitures requires almost no maintenance. If a piece gets dirty, it can simply be hosed off with water. For tougher grime, wash with a mild soap.

Aesthetical Solutions for Wood floor, and deck caulking is a special market for elastic wood floor bonding adhesives. It has its origin in the ship building industry, where the Sika Marine Department first started this type of application successfully more than 15 years ago. Recently this has also become a special application on the construction industry, due to the rise in popularity of timber floors and decking system for residential, commercial and leisure development. Further we bring this technology to our furniture table tops.
