WORK DESCRIPTION: EXTENSION OF TOWNSHIP BOUNDARY OF OBED “MTHOMBENI” NKOSI EXTENSION 1
The scope of work for the assignment consists of the following:
The amendment of the approved layout plan by consolidating the proposed 23 ‘Urban Agriculture’ properties to form 2 ‘Urban Agriculture’ properties.

Extension of boundary application approval by the Lesedi Local Municipality in terms of Section 49 (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) and (7) of the Lesedi Local Municipality Spatial Planning and Land Use Management By-Law, 2015 to include the properties earmarked for ‘Urban Agriculture’ and ‘Primary School and Secondary’ as per the below approved layout plan.

Registration of extended boundary of Obed Mthombeni Nkosi Extension 1 in the Deeds Office in terms of Section 49 of the Deeds Registry Act 1937 (Act 49 of 1937)
a) Subdivision (including pegging) of a Portion of Remainder of Portion 28 of the Farm Boschfontein 385 IR
(i) Consolidation of subdivided portion into Obed Mthombeni Nkosi Extension 1
b) Subdivision (including pegging) of a Portion of Portion 2 of the Farm Boschfontein 385 IR
(i) Consolidation of subdivided portion into Obed Mthombeni Nkosi Extension 1
c) Registration of these subdivided portions in the Deeds office into erven within the Obed Mthombeni
Extension 1 Township
d) Proclamation in the Government Gazette.

1. DELIVERABLES & OUTPUTS
In accordance with the relevant standards and procedures for professional practice and contracted scope of work, the
professional service provider will submit and make oral presentation on the following outputs and deliverables:
a) Inception Report
b) Approval of amended layout plan c) Approval of Extension of boundaries in terms of Section 49 of the Lesedi Local Municipality Spatial Planning
and Land Use Management By-Law, 2015 by Local authority d) Proof of Registration of Subdivided portions as erven within Obed Nkosi Extension 1 by the Surveyor General
e) Proof of inclusion as erven in the Obed Nkosi Extension 1 Township in terms of Section 49 of the Deeds Registry
Act 1937 (Act 49 of 1937)
f) Proclamation Notice
2. DURATION
The timeframes for the completion of this project is not anticipated to exceed 3 months from the date of
appointment.
3. TEAM COMPOSITION
The service provider (Professional Town Planner also acting as project manager) is expected to appoint a Professional
Land Surveyor and Conveyancer for the activities mentioned above.
The above professional staff composition is the client’s minimum requirement. The service provider (Professional
Town Planner) is advised to propose their own team composition based on the scope of work as defined in section 1.

completed and submitted together with your quotation. All objections and complaints must be lodged within 14 days
and in writing to the municipal’s manager’s office.
