Maroochydore, on South East Queensland’s stunning Sunshine Coast, is the setting for one of the nation’s most exciting urban developments, with plans to transform the coastal town into a city for the 21st Century.

RESIDENTIAL MARKETThe Forest Glen Catchment has demonstrated consistent price growth over the last five years. House prices have increased by an average of 5.6 per cent per annum, while units have recorded a growth of 3.0 per cent per annum. This has resulted in median prices higher than the wider Sunshine Coast Local Government Area (LGA) and highlights the strong demand for housing in the area.

RENTAL MARKETSignificant infrastructure investment around the Sunshine Coast has driven demand for rental product. INFRASTRUCTURE

MAROOCHYDORE CBD Now under construction, the $300M project is set to transform a 53-hectare greenfield site into a major central business district. The project is expected to provide 2,000 new residential apartments, hotels, an entertainment centre, 124,500m2 of commercial space and 65,00m2 of retail space. Waterways, parklands, recreational facilities and a plaza have also been planned out within the CBD.

SUNSHINE COAST PUBLIC HOSPITALOpening in April 2017, the Sunshine Coast University Hospital now provides 738 beds and offers emergency,

comprehensive cancer, specialised medical and surgical, maternity, rehabilitation, mental health, clinical support, ambulatory care and allied health.

SUNSHINE COAST AIRPORT The expansion of the Sunshine Coast Airport is underway and expected to be completed in 2020. The project includes a new runway, two end taxiway

loops, expansion of the apron at the existing terminal, expansion of the existing terminal and a new air traffic control tower.
