This is an initiation of Government of India to drive the 5 year long Swatch Bharat Mission of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. Today’s awareness session on has been organized as part of this fortnight celebration to discuss and deliberate on the most popular method of Workplace Cleaning – 5S! 5S is a workplace organisation methodology that uses a list of five Japanese words - Seiri (Sorting), Seiton (Set in order), Seiso (Shine), Seiketsu (Standardizing) and Shitsuke (Sustaining). Description of Activity: Event on Awareness Session on 5S

EEPC India has joined the Department of Commerce of Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry

in their celebration of Swachchata Pakhawada for a fortnight over 1-15th November, 2018 across

Description of Activity: Awareness Session on 6S-house keeping practices to Employees

EEPC India has joined the Department of Commerce of Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry

in their celebration of Swachchata Pakhawada for a fortnight over 1-15th November, 2018 across

India. This is an initiation of Government of India to drive the 5 year long Swatch Bharat Mission

of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

and deliberate on the most popular method of Workplace Housekeeping: 5S+Safety (6s)!

6S is a workplace organisation methodology that uses a list of five Japanese words - Seiri (Sort),

Seiton (Set in order), Seiso (Shine), Seiketsu (Standardizing), Shitsuke (Sustaining) and followed

by ensuring enough Safety is practiced in the work environment (6th S).

The 6S concepts consistently produce an organized and safe work environment, resulting in -

An increase in workspace hygiene, work satisfaction and employee safety. The aim of today’s awareness session was to explore the methodology of 6S which shall help in our day to day office management activities.

Mr. D Karthikeyan, Assistant Head – EEPC INDIA Technology Centre who is trained in Six Sigma Black Belt deliberated the program on 6S Work Place House Keeping practices.

Description of Activity: Cleanliness drive at parking area at the Complex

This initiative is towards cleaning Parking slots of the Complex.

Images before and after removing packaging items, carry bags were cleared and facility items

were moved to the Store room ensuring proper housekeeping is followed by moving items to

their designated areas.

This initiative is towards clearing paper waste collected out at the no-smoking bins.

WHY E-Rickshaws

“Solution Provider” of last mile connectivity

Eco Friendly- contributes to a greener environment, zero fossil fuel consumption.

Government Friendly- easy and safe traffic management, regulated speed, motorised vehicle

which is duly registered.

Employment Generation of the rural youth-minimum skillset required, easy to operate, less

maintenance as fewer parts-no oil filters and coolants.

Simplicity: Small number of moving parts, less than 35 compared with over 2500 for

petrol/diesel powered vehicle . Fewer parts mean less maintenance and easy service. No oil

filters and coolants. Easy to operate; simple to control.

Reliability: Because of their simplicity it is highly reliable, less to malfunction. There is no consideration from heating and cooling, no rusting etc.

Cleanliness/Safety: No exhaust, No poisonous carbon monoxide, no air pollution, no noise. No slippery puddles or tails of oils or fluids. Plus same speeds for confined and populated areas.

Efficiency: Direct application of energy minimum loses to friction. Uses energy only as needed-no wasted “idling time”

Economy : Low initial price, low operation cost (Rs.0.40/0.70)per Km. when compared to

petrol/diesel units
