Prelude The King of Love My Shepherd Is Gounod
Welcome and Greetings:
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.
See, darkness covers the earth
and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the LORD rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
Welcome to the house of the Lord. We are here to worship him. Amen.
May God bind our hearts together in his love. Amen.

Prayer of Confession and Desire:
O Lord my God.
Teach my heart this day
where and how to find you.
You have made me and re-made me.
You have bestowed on me
all the good things I possess.
Still I do not know you as well as I ought.
I have not yet done
that for which I was made.
So, teach me to seek you,
for I cannot seek you unless you teach me,
or find you unless you show yourself to me.
Let me seek you in my desire;
let me desire you in my seeking.
Let me find you by loving you;
let me love you when I find you.
(Prayer of St Anselm)
