TEACHING Since my appointment as a full-time faculty member in the Civil & Structural Engineering Department of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Fall semester 1995, and subsequently as a tenure-track Assistant Professor and tenured Associate Professor in the Construction Management Department at Florida International University, I have taught numerous undergraduate and graduate courses during the past 18 years. Undergraduate courses have included Construction Scheduling, Construction Safety, Construction Contracts, Management of Construction Organizations, Construction Accounting, etc. Graduate courses have included Construction Quality Management & Planning, Construction Productivity, Advanced Construction Scheduling, Decision & Risk Analysis in Construction, International Construction, Advanced Planning & Simulation in Construction, Construction Marketing & Management, Construction Economic Analysis, Construction Safety Management, Construction Financial management, Construction Cost Analysis & Control, etc. I developed and managed the fully On-line Master‘s degree in Construction Management at FIU in 2003-2004, which was, at that time the first fully on-line MSCM program in the nation. Since its inception in 2004 and until the summer of 2010, I regularly taught 2-3 courses every year for the on-line program. My teaching evaluations by peers and students have been outstanding from the very beginning. The average overall student teaching evaluation scores have consistently ranged between 4.5 - 4.75 on a 5.0 scale. I have received many unsolicited students‘ letters and e-mails over the years thanking me for my dedication to students and how much they enjoyed being my student and learning from being in my class. Student Supervision (PhD Dissertations, MS Theses, Masters Independent Study, Masters Engineering Project) I have so far successfully supervised five Civil Engineering/Construction Management PhD students as major advisor and served as a committee member for over eight PhD students. I have also supervised numerous Master‘s Theses and served on many Master‘s Theses committees. I have also supervised over 25 Independent Studies for graduate students and also supervised Master‘s Engineering Projects for Civil Engineering students. SERVICE

Served as the elected representative to the Faculty Council of the College of Engineering and Computing at FIU and the College Tenure & Promotion Committee from 2004 to 2009. In the past I

have served and chaired the department’s Faculty Search & Screen Committee and served as the department representative to the College Curriculum Committee at FIU. I have also served as a member in the Search & Screen Committee for the Chairs of the Departments of Construction Management and Civil & Environmental Engineering while at FIU.
