Attendance
Because we will devote much of ourtime in class to discussion, peer review,

More than two unexcused absenceswill result in failure of the course.
PrerequisitesEnglish 110 is a prerequisite for English 269.
Late WorkI do not accept late work unless you have an excused absence and we've discussed it inwriting prior to the deadline .
Technology issues are NOT an excuse for late work. Plan ahead and anticipate that youwill have technology issues arise during the course of the quarter. Give yourself enough
time to solve them.
NetiquetteKeep in mind that this course involves communicating with public audiences outside ofthe class. Consequently, you should not include in your assignments content that youwould not be comfortable sharing to a wide public audience.
Academic HonestyPlagiarism entails representing anothers works or ideas as ones own. It includesunacknowledged word for word use and/or paraphrasing of another persons work, and/orunacknowledged use of another persons ideas. You must attribute all un-originalwork. This will be a crucial point when composing your remixes. I will provide moreinstruction as we approach these assignments. In accordance with university rules, I will
report all cases of suspected plagiarism to the Committee on Academic Misconduct:"It is the responsibility of the Committee on Academic Misconduct to investigateor establish procedures for the investigation of all reported cases of studentacademic misconduct.
