O-Substituent in the Nitrogenated Ring on Antitumor Activity. — With a view to obtaining novel antitumor agents, various kinds of compounds such as (VIII) and (IX) are synthesized. Products of type (IX) are more effective than those of type (VIII). The substituent in position C-11 is very important for cytotoxicity.
