Where were we?Where were we?• IT teachers locked into once a week, skill building

classes in the computer rooms. Scheduling constraints in the computer rooms.

• Teachers left on their own to plan & implement one integrated ‘computer lesson’ period a week.

• They have little support/PD

• A growing disparity between student ability level.

• Old model of teaching software skills in isolation is not sufficient to meet the 21st century learning needs of students

Technology Integration• Starts with student learning, with pedagogyStarts with student learning, with pedagogy - All

STUDENTS get more authentic curriculum integration opportunities.

• Focus is on the curriculum not the tools. Lessons begin and end with curriculum objectives and the hoped for enduring understandings.

• Facilitate the curricular integration of technology tools into all areas of the school curriculum. Teaches in the classroom, computer room, outside; anywhere, anytime with teachers

• Create learning resources with and for teachers, staff, and students.
