ABOUT NCMFABeautiful serene environment located at Khrutshiezhü below Phezhu Jotsoma, T. Khel Model Village Kohima. Students will discover their intellectual passion through myriad academic programs.

Expressed in its motto: “Truth and Excellence”, the College will uphold a rigorous commitment to music and fine arts in all its breadth and depth. Eminent professors and lectures in the field of music can help strengthen you in your journey with the confidence of your promised future. It’s a welcoming place with a purposeful yet relaxed atmosphere appropriate for learning.

The College aims to provide a comprehensive range of music program that encompasses all areas of music education.

HISTORYIn 2010, the construction of Music College was started by Vesato Theluo & his Wife Aviu Theluo, whom God has given them a vision to impact our people through music. After lots of hardships and struggles the college came into existence in 2016 with only five students. Both of them did their music education from Philippines.

The College Board was constituted in 2014 with Hoto Yeptho as the first chairman of the board with 12 other members.

PURPOSEThe college will not shirk its responsibilities in ensuring that all its pupils are given guidance through.

CAREERS AND CITIZENSHIP PROGRAMMEPersonal and social education programme that deals with issues such as substance abuse and personal relations.The college will encourage indigenous music to promote Naga Music.Religious education programme to encourage stability, to reflect wider issues, to understand and appreciate other people’s culture etc.The college will give importance to Church music striving for excellence in preaching, for the greater work of Mission and to increase hands-on mission work.The college will be at the heart of the community. Hence co-operation and participation of parents in helping to ensure all the students achieving their full potential will be most valued. When not in session the college will become the venue for all sorts of social and educational activities such as adult education classes, summer literacy school, and summer play schemes clubs, community production, concerts etc.The college will accept applications inclusive for all students from Manipur/Assam/ Arunachal/ North East states, India and International students.

STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TOFollow the Rules and Regulations

Practice conscientiouslyFollow timetables and rehearsal schedules punctually and reliablyRemain in College for the duration of your timetabled lessons

EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONSYou can only be entered for Associated Board, Guildhall or Trinity College examinations on the recommendation of your tutor. The College can provide accompanists for these examinations for an additional fee.

PROGRESSStudents are required to take an annual internal assessment. All students will receive termly reports. Your place is held subject to satisfactory progress and attendance.

ABSENCEIf you are unable to attend due to illness you must notify the warden’s office as soon as possible. Permission to be absent or miss lessons/classes for ANY reason for a long period must be sought from the Director in writing.

INFORMATIONIf the academic performance of the student is not satisfactory, the student is likely to be detained and will not be allowed to appear for the examinations conducted by the college Students must not loiter on the College premises while the classes are going on.Smoking and consumption of alcohol on the College premises or entering the college premises, after consuming alcoholic drinks is strictly prohibited.Students shall do nothing either inside or outside the College that will in any way interfere with its orderly conduct and discipline.No student shall collect any money or contribution for picnic, trip, and Educational visit to some place, get-together, study-notes, charity or any other activity without prior sanction of the Director.Students are expected to take proper care of college property and help the college authorities in keeping the premises clean. Damaging college property e.g. disfiguring walls, doors, fittings or breaking furniture, misuse of fittings, or breaking furniture, etc., is breach of discipline, and the guilty will be called for explanationStudents applying for certificates, testimonials, etc. which requires the Director’s signature on any kind of document or application should first contact the co ordinator. Students should not bring any paper directly to the Director for his/her signature.Insubordination and unbecoming language or misconduct on the part of a student is sufficient reasons for his/her suspension or dismissal. Look after your belongings at all times. The College cannot accept responsibility for the loss or theft of your personal property while on its premisesStudents joining the College are bound by the rules and regulations of the College.

FEES AND EXPENSESFees will be charged according to the policy of the teaching Branch including Application, Registration, Tuition and Hostel. The student will be responsible for all expenses including miscellaneous expenses.

Matters not covered by the existing rules will rest at the absolute discretion of the Director.

The College reserves the right to modify without notice the content, delivery and arrangements for timetabled activities within the college.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE AND REQUIREMENTSThe applicant shall send the completed application form along with 2 passport size photographs After verifying the application, student(s) will be notified for audition.If the students are staying outside Nagaland a CD of performance has to be sent to the office.An applicant will submit the following Documents:

Transcript of Class 12, B.A. or any other degrees.Certificate of music in any institution or experience.

LANGUAGE OF STUDYEnglish is the standard language of instruction.
