• Drawing: map of historical events, scientific process– Making outlines/outlining reading

• Copying what is on the board/taking notes/making lists

• Asking the teacher for a diagram/diagram sentences• Watching videos• Color coding words/researching notes– Using highlighter/circling words

Auditory Learner• Learns things best through hearing

things• May struggle after reading a chapter– But then gain understanding after

hearing a lecture• Good at understanding true

meanings of people’s words– Listens to audible signals like

changes in tone• When trying to remember a phone #– Say it out loud

• Likes to read to self out loud• Good at grammar/foreign languages• Will talk in front of the class/likes acting • Difficult to keep quiet for long periods of time• Likes oral reports

• Also called tactile learner• Learns best through doing/experiencing

things• May become bored by lecture more

quickly• Can remember directions by acting them
