What an amazing response to the “Shave for Aims”

$2200 which meant that Mr Warrick, Mr Rosvall, Mr
Robson, Matua Scott, Matua Joel, Whaea Suzanne
and Whaea Mele got a brand new haircut for the
winter. Big Thanks to Peleti and crew from

My calf needs milk, love, grass,
shelter, friends, shade and sun.
Dairy Diary Day 1 -
Today the class went to a farm for calf
club. When we got there
Harmony had to cut up the numbers
for our calves. I was holding the hat so Harmony can put
the numbers in there. My number was 108 and my calf
was brown and white, her name is Lisa. After that we had
a yummy lunch, then we went back. TIARI RM 8
My calf’s name is Brittany.
My calf’s number is NT.
My calf needs milk, shelter, love,
friends, meal and sleep. My calf
does not move really but she is
kind and she lies down a lot. She
loves getting groomed because she
falls asleep while I’m brushing her.
DAIRY DIARY DAY 1 -
At calf club we had to pull a number out of a hat, I
got one with a NT and then we lead them around,
it was cool. Then we saw the horses, one of them
put his ears back and charged at us, it was a bit
scary. I loved my calf the minute I saw it. My calf
was kind to me. After they all had milk and we
had lunch MOSS RM 8

SCHOOL CARPARKS—SAFETY ISSUE
When dropping off your children
please do not park in the area
around the office or in the back
carpark. The area is becoming very
conjested at the beginning and end of the school
day. Thank you.
We saw a crab with spikes on it. A crab
has a hard shell on it. When a crab’s shell
gets too small they take it off and they get
a new shell. It grows underneath the old
one. A crab has 10kgs and only goes
sideways. A hermit crab needs to find a
shell to protect itself from other animals
because it only has a soft body. A crab
can be eaten by lots of animals. It might
nip you with its pincers. A camouflage
crab will hide by cutting up seaweed and
putting it on to his shell. He has hooks on
his back for the seaweed.

In Autumn I can see lots of colourful
leaves on the trees. Some trees
have bare branches on the top
because the leaves have started to
fall off. I picked up some dry, brown
leaves and scrunched them in my
hand. The leaves we collected were
different shapes and colours and
sizes. Autumn leaves are so pretty.
