WHAT IS A TARGET AUDIENCE

A target audience is a particular group at which a product such as a film or advertisement is aimed.

THRILLER TARGET AUDIENCEThriller films usually interests young adults as they find the plots interesting, they like feeling the suspense and mystery. Thriller films are usually certificated 15 and a few of them are 18 due to the content of the film being violent, frightening and graphical. Most thrillers appeal to 16-24 year olds. Thrillers also appeal to both females and males. Males are interested in thrillers due to the action. and females are usually attracted to thriller because they like to watch something that plays questions in their heads.

MY TARGET AUDIENCEI have decided that my target audience will be 15+. With both male and female viewers. However, it will not be an 18+ because the content is not overly explicit. With 80% of the people which I surveyed being within the age group of 15-28 This is because there will be strong violence, strong verbal reference to sex, sexual activity and strong language. The scenes will be graphical and the use of sound will be uncomfortable to hear. This is to make an impact on the audience and keep them on the edge of their seats.

WHO WILL MY TARGET AUDIENCE BE SPECIFICALLY

Male or female. 15-28 years old.Have an interest in real life scenario crimes e.g. abduction, stalking, attacking.Will have an interest in action, horror, drama and of most of all thriller genres. Regularly going to the cinema and keeping up with new films.Enjoys quick shots and a fast tempo.
