Asparagus MX, Peru Markets are strong as an unexpected dip in supplies from
Mexico has affected markets. Conditions are expected to
continue into next week.
Broccoli CA, FL, GT Broccoli supplies have improved as growing areas
experience warmer weather. Markets are slightly stronger
as expected from the next blast of cooler weather.
Cabbage FL Supplies are good with increasing demand. Quality is good.
Carrots CA, MX Market conditions are stable.
Cauliflower AZ, FL. Cauliflower supplies are plentiful. Markets are steady.
Quality has improved.
Celery FL Markets are stable as demand levels off. Quality is good
with occasional instances of blistering noted.
Corn FL Florida corn is harvesting with good quality reported.
Cucumbers HD Cucumber markets have eased as supplies from Honduras
increase. Quality remains good.
Eggplant FL, MX Eggplant markets are steady with fair to good quality.
Green Beans FL Markets are stable. Quality is fair.
Herbs CA, FL, SA Markets are steady. Good supplies.
Lettuce – Iceberg AZ Iceberg markets have retreated even more over the last
week. Supplies are stable with fair quality. Outer leaves
have been affected and will affect the final weight of the
product.
Lettuce – Fresh-
Cut
AZ, MX All lettuces are showing fair quality with demand meeting
supply conditions for processing.
Lettuce – Leaf,
Green & Red
AZ Leaf markets are relaxed more from last week. Quality has
improved with the warmer weather from last week.
Lettuce – Romaine AZ Romaine supplies are meeting the demand and the market
has relaxed a bit. Outer leaves that are poor quality are
being removed before shipping creating lighter weights.Conditions are expected to remain for at least the
remainder of the Yuma season.
Lettuce – Spring
Mix
AZ Spring mix quality has improved as a result of the warmer
weather. The red leaf will be back in the mix.
Mushrooms CA, PA, CH Stable supplies of most mushrooms with good quality.
Onions WA,OR Markets have stabilized. Mexico has begun with light
supplies. February is traditionally the slowest month for
onion sales allowing more supply to be available.

Onions – Green MX, CA Markets remain strong. These crops continue to try andcatch up with demand due to continuing growing issues.
Peas – Snow GT, Peru Markets are stable after reacting to weather issues.
Peppers – Chiles FL Quality and volumes are steady with good quality being
reported.
Peppers – Green FL, MX Green Pepper markets are steady. Supplies from Florida and
Mexico are good. Quality is good.
Peppers – Red &
Gold
CA Red and Yellow Pepper markets have stabilized. Quality is
good.
Potatoes – Russet ID, CO, WI Markets are weak with good demand. Quality is good.
Potatoes – Red,White & Yukon
CN, ND Quality product has been arriving with good quality.
Potatoes – Yams MS, LA Supplies are good with great quality.
Spinach AZ Supplies and quality have improved over the last week.
Markets have stabilized with improved quality.
Squash –
Yellow/Zucchini
FL, MX Yellow Squash markets have eased. Zucchini Squash
supplies are stable as Mexico determines crop damage.
Tomatoes FL, MX Good supplies coming from Florida and Mexico. Quality is
good.
FRUIT SOURCEApples WA, NY The Apple season continues with lower than average
supplies. Normal supplies have a 50/50 split between larger
(88ct) and smaller (113ct). This year the split is 80% larger,
20% smaller.
Avocado, Hass MX Markets are slightly stronger as demand has increased.
Quality is good.
Bananas Guatemala, Costa
Rica
The supply has stabilized in the various growing regions.
Color is approaching its seasonal challenge due to demand.
Quality is good.
Berries –
Blackberries
MX Markets are stable as inclement weather in Mexico passed
with minor interruption of supply. Quality is good.
Berries –
Blueberries
Chile, MX Markets are weaker as supplies improve.
Raspberries MX, CA Good supplies and quality.
Berries –
Strawberries
MX,FL, CA Markets are active as West Coast rains limited the expected
harvest. Minimal bruising has been reported. Florida berry
markets are steady with good quality.
Citrus - Grapefruit FL, TX Quality is good. Supplies are better on larger sizes.

Citrus – Lemons CA,MX Good supplies and quality. Smaller size fruit is tight.Citrus – Limes MX Lighter supplies have caused markets to rise. Quality has
been affected by rain in growing regions.
Citrus – Oranges CA , Fl. Navel quality is good. Markets are stable. Availability on all
sizes is good.
Grapes Chile Red Grape markets are stable as offshore volumes increase.
However, Green Grape supplies tighter with occasional
instances of amber color noted. Red Globes and Black
Grapes are available.
Kiwifruit IT Quality and volume are fine.
Melon –
Cantaloupe &
Honeydew
GT, HN Cantaloupe markets are steady. Larger size fruit is more
plentiful as we begin harvesting the newer crops. Quality is
good. Honeydew supplies are stable as we experience a
seasonal move to Honduras. Markets are steady.
Melons –
Watermelon
HD, TX Supplies are tight as product arrives from Honduras and
Mexico. Mexico is 40% lighter in volume than previous
years. Quality is fair on seeded and seedless.
Pears WA Bosc, Anjou and Bartlett varieties are coming from
Washington. Markets are stable with quality fruit.
Pineapple Costa Rica Supplies are consistent with good quality. Brix has been
averaging 14% with average internal gold color.
