Tata Nano Diesel – A Much Anticipated Launch Tata Motors have now come up with a diesel model of its highly popular world’s cheapest car, Nano. It was expected to be launched in India in late 2013; however, the launch seems to be far away. With the price of petrol increasing day by day, most of the potential car buyers are looking out for diesel run vehicles. The introduction of a diesel version, especially in the Indian markets will surely give a shot in the arm to the sales of the small Nano car . It will be the first diesel car in the subcompact hatchback segment in India. Tata Nano Diesel will be almost identical to the current petrol version of the Nano, appearance wise. The length, width and height of Tata’s new car are 2928 mm, 1417 mm and 1512 mm. It can comfortably take on four adults and has a boot capacity of 80 litres. The rear boot door can be opened, unlike the earlier model. The company has also come up with much advancement of safety and comfort features. Some of them worth mentioning are the independent gas-filled struts in front, revised coil spring suspension, power assisted steering wheel, better-cushioned seats and improved interior upholstery. Tata Nano Diesel – A Much Anticipated Launch

Tata Motors have now come up with a diesel model of its highly popular world’s cheapest car, Nano. It was expected to be launched in India in late 2013; however, the launch seems to be far away.

With the price of petrol increasing day by day, most of the potential car buyers are looking out for diesel run vehicles. The introduction of a diesel version, especially in the Indian markets will surely give a shot in the arm to the sales of the small Nano car. It will be the first diesel car in the subcompact hatchback segment in India.

AC without climate control, fog lamps, power windows, door open warning system, front and rear seat belts, manual central locking, manual driver seat adjustment and many more.

The Tata Nano Diesel will come with a 0.7-liter 2-cylinder Ace engine, which will have a displacement of 700 cc. The CRDi diesel engine is being developed in association with Bosch. It will be powered with a four-speed manual transmission gearbox. This small engine is expected to generate a maximum power of 33 bhp and a maximum torque of 51 NM at 4000 rpm. Tata Nano Diesel can be considered as the most fuel efficient car, which gives out a mileage of 40 kilometres per liter. The maximum speed is around 90 kilometres per hour. The turning radius of 4 metres along with the small size of the car makes it an easy-to-maneuver vehicle.

Tata Nano diesel car expected to be slightly costlier than Nano’s petrol version. It will be priced in the range of Rs. 1,50,000 and Rs. 3,25,000. Still, it will be the least expensive diesel model in the country. Maruti Alto 800 and Hyundai Eon will be the major rivals of the Tata Nanodiesel car.

This cute little car with its delicate appearance assures a sporty and elegant driving experience. Tata Nano diesel will unquestionably be a wise option for the middle class people and for people who have parking space issues.
