Devising a headline (like in a newspaper) describing your own life is a great way to decide if you’re on track now, or if your path needs some correction. You alone are the composer of your life’s headlines. Stop thinking that things “happen” to you. Don’t focus on what’s beyond your control. Move in a direction of “making things happen.” You’ll feel so much more in control of your life, less like a victim-and you will be more able to compose the life’s headline you sincerely want. If you’re not on the track you want, hopefully you can handle it like an airline pilot. Did you know a pilot can make a huge correction when he veers off course with just a tiny adjustment to the rudders? By the math of angles, that small correction is multiplied many times over by the time the destination is reached. The same might be true of your life. Mouse-sized changes can have an elephant-sized impact on your self-confidence.
