Mission:
Mission Statement:The purpose of the Economic Development Department is to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Corona and promote responsible economic development activities that result in job creation, retention and growth of our existing business community and enhancement of our current tax base through attraction of key business sectors. At all times these efforts will remain focused on insuring the long-term sustainability of the of City of Corona.

Background:Team Corona was originally created in the 90’s and had as its sole and exclusive mission to expedite the processes of doing business in the City of Corona. Since that time, Team Corona has become the umbrella for all efforts of the Economic Development Department and more recently, the Internet portal that opens the door to this highly coveted - and often times copied - way of doing business. To that end, the Economic Development Department team utilizes this way of doing business to differentiate Corona from other Inland Empire cities as well as our competitor around the globe. It’s no wonder that Team Corona award-winning business attraction and retention programs have kept Corona well ahead of other Cities in Riverside County.
