Induction Program 2019 on “Corporate Expectations and Insights for Aspiring Managers” @ GLBIMRCarrying forth the legacy of academic excellence, G.L. Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida started with the week long initiation for the newly enrolled students of PGDM Batch 2019-21, Induction Program – 2019 on the theme of “Corporate Expectations and Insights for Aspiring Managers”.This Induction Program was concluded on July 12, 2019. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR and eminent Chief Guest Mr. Atul Todi, CEO, 10Times.com. The Guests of Honour in this prestigious occasion who addressed the gathering were Mrs. Madhuri Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, Foundation for Holistic Development, and Mr. Amit Dubey, Deputy CTO, Tech Mahindra.Honorable Vice Chairman, Mr. Pankaj Agarwal welcomed the students to the GL Bajaj family and shared that the main objective of this programme has been to provide directions to the young management aspirants to match-up to the highly competitive corporate business environment. He emphasized the importance of using innovative pedagogy, customized learning system, research orientation, corporate expectations & value based education which has helped GLBIMR emerge as a leading Management Institute. Participation of more than 500 audiences comprising of distinguished guests, students, parents, media persons, representatives of professional bodies, faculty and staff members of the Institute made this a highly successful event.

Experimental & on the job learning for students. GLBIMR ensures that all the students are

given opportunity to be a part of live projects in their domains i.e. Finance, Marketing & HR

in various organizations like Reliance Smart, jaquar, Decathlon, FBB (Future

Group) Big Bazaar, outlook, Home Town, etc.

Mock Interview Sessions through corporate expertsTo prepare the students for interviews, formal mock interviews are arranged whereby Senior Corporate Experts and Practitioners are invited to take mock interviews of students. These are formal sessions in complete interview setting and the entire activity is recorded. These are then shared with students and feedback is given about how they can improve themselves is given about how they can improve themselves so that when they face the final interview, they can perform better.

Social Initiatives

As a responsible Institute, GLBIMR takes pride in being socially inclined and focuses on sustained and eff ective CSR projects. The major core areas that we support are Blood Donation Camps, Tree Plantations, Distribution of clothes to slums, visiting especially abled children to NGOs, each one teach one initiative, donations for national Flag Day and natural calamities. The activities that are already conducted at GLBIMR are:CSR CLUB -“Protsahan & Sangathan” (PGDM Batch 2018-20 & 2019-21) of GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized a CSR event in association with Navratan Foundation, Noida – NGO at Navratan Gyanpeeth School and Navratan Adult Education Center on Friday, October 18, 2019. The objectives of this CSR club activity were skill building and mentoring for the slum area primary class students and create awareness on issues related to women rights, hygiene and health awareness for slum area working women.

CSR CLUB - “Protsahan & Sangathan” also organized a CSR event for Sambodhi – Anand Marg Primary School, Greater Noida on Saturday, December 07, 2019 at GLBIMR campus under the visionary guidance of Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR

• “Vanmahotsav” was organized on August 14, 2019 where all the Stakeholders pledged to protect the environment and pledged to contribute towards preservation of the environment, by maintaining cleanliness, by planting & protecting the trees and stopping the wastage of natural resources like water and fuel.• Blood Donation Camp GLBIMR actively conducts annual Blood Donation Camp in the campus. Last Year’s camp, organized on August 14, 2019 was a huge success. All the students and staf members of GLBIMR participated enthusiastically in this nobel cause. The students presented a heart touching “Nukkad Natak” to mark the importance of donating blood. More than 150 Students, Faculty and Staf f members registered themselves for the donation and augmented the feeling of giving.

Keeping the focus for wholesome development beyond academics, impetus at GLBIMR is to provide platforms of development, for the meritorious students. Ten students qualified on merit basis for this wonderful opportunity and went to explore the land of sand. The trip has been instrumental for students to gain a broader view of the world and widen their perspectives in different aspects of their life.

Switzerland , Director and co-founder of the Humanistic Management Center, Switzerland on March 30, 2019. • GLBIMR organized the visit of faculty and students delegates from University of Denver, Colorado, United States on December 10, 2019 at GLBIMR campus. The delegates visited the Institute to gain better understanding about the research project “Scope of Bona Company in India and ways to Market penetration”. PGDM students delivered the presentation on their research work and discussed about the emerging opportunities present in Indian Adhesive market and suggested the various techniques to create awareness about the company’s products and systematic approach for entering and penetrating into Indian Adhesive market. The key objective of these initiatives is to disseminate quality education and develop professionals for Global Competitiveness.

GLBIMR is one of the few institutes in India acclaimed with such attainment. This Network provides a high impact collective action platform by way of Knowledge sharing and network meetings. GLBIMR provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. Industrial visits provide an excellent opportunity to interact with industries, professionals to know more about industrial environment. Industrial visits are arranged with an objective of providing students functional opportunity in dif ferent sectors like IT, manufacturing and services etc.
