Wireless Mirroring
Wireless Mirroring• Why would any choir director want an Interactive
White Board?
• Work from your location...anywhere in the room
• Too small? Pinch & Zoom
• Consider a widescreen TV (80" $4500) instead of a projector.
Wireless Mirroring• Requires an iPad 2 (or newer)
• Utilizes AirPlay to mirror the iPad screen to an external display
• Via Apple TV ($100), Reflection (reflectionapp.com, $14.99), Air Server (www.airserverapp.com, $14.99), VGA dongle ($29), or HDMI dongle ($29)
• If your projector is not HDMI capable, and you want to use the Apple TV, you will need an adapter. The Kanex ATV Pro is highly recommended ($60)

Scanning
Scanning Equipment
• Scanner
• Eraser
• Paper Cutter
• Additional Software (PDF Shrink)
Scanning
• Your scan is limited to the quality of the original
• Scan at 300dpi, black & white or text [not greyscale!] (settings also used by the PDF Band Library)
• Use PDF Shrink to reduce the size of PDF files later (65% savings) but keep the originals!
PDF Shrink settings: Color & Greyscale Images 150 dpi, JPEG, Medium Quality Monochome Images 200 dpi, Flate
Scanning• To name files: Name, Composer, Arranger,
Voicing
• Check that all the pages are present
• Erase pencil marks
• Delete cover pages, delete blank pages, move program notes & biographical information to the end of the file
Scanning
• Be aware of Copyright Law
• The music publishers will need to move to a model that will allow schools to convert or cheaply upgrade to digital scores.
• Never use more digital copies than you own physical copies
