Question
• Is technology Integration happening in our schools?
Are we catering to our students?
Digital natives, Digital immigrants
• We are living in an era where the students are the digital natives and many of the teachers are digital immigrants (Prensky, 2000, p. 3).
Increasingly, many teachers especially those who are now entering into the teaching service have grown up during the digital era.

What is Technology Integration
• Technology integration is the use of “technology as a tool to enhance the learning [process] in a content area or multidisciplinary setting” (International Society for Technology in Education [ISTE], 2000a, p. 6).
Effective Technology Integration
• Effective integration of technology is achieved when students are able to select technology tools to help them obtain information in a timely manner, analyze and synthesize the information, and present it professionally. The technology should become an integral part of how the classroom functions -- as accessible as all other classroom tools (ISTE, 2000, p. 6).
