Recommendation #12: Improve Remote Connectivity Accessibility, Reliability, And Options for District Staff And Students (Completed/Sustaining)

• Transitioned Microsoft applications to cloud environment providing full remote access for all Microsoft applications and documents.

• Initiated schedule to setup Windows 10 and OneDrive on staff devices to migrate data tothe cloud by June 2019.

• Supported access and professional development for Office 365 Teams, SharePoint and other cloud-based apps to provide access for communication and collaboration

• Initiated ongoing evaluation of new and additional applications for cloud-basedenvironment.


Recommendation #13: Leverage the District’s Investment in a Disaster Recovery (DR) Site by Developing a Formal Education Continuity Plan (Completed/Sustaining)

• Developing critical system response outage communication plan.

• Solidified redundant systems at ITSC for PowerSchool, Business Plus as well as hardware to operate other critical applications and serve as data backup site for critical data.

• Research being conducted on redundant Internet connectivity.


Recommendation #14: Conduct an Inventory of District Applications and Analyze Application Relationships and Business Processes to Determine Areas of Consolidation and Efficiency (Completed/Sustaining)

• Conducted inventory of district curriculum applications and fully implemented single sign-on.

• Administrative Systems Advisory Team will conduct inventory and analysis of business applications to ensure high levels of efficiency and industry standards

• Completed a data integration map to document how data moves throughout systems; next phase of mapping is to fully document specific data elements integration between applications.
