Teenagers are highly susceptible to drug abuse. Unaware of the risks associated, teens initiate and continue abusing habits risking their precious lives. Parents should talk to their kids about drug abuse and its harmful effects to save them from this dangerous habit. It has become a serious health problem now a days. Most substance abusers would deny that they are using medicines and they will try to hide the symptoms. Some of the facts of teen drug abuse and its symptoms are:

Suspicious behaviors; making more trips to the garage, basement or any isolated areas

Physical appearance and grooming has decreased over time

Use of foul language and vulgar behavior

Sudden degradation in academic grades

Started wearing sunglasses or long sleeve shirts

Frequent demand of more money

Tired and depressed

Secretly hanging out with new type of friends

Feeling bored or jittery when spending time with family
