the world, but it has happened. Willed by the strength and memory of hergrandmother, skilled on the courts of Bonnabel HS, LSU and the WNBA, educated by
her travels across the globe – Temeka Johnson is a brand that exudes hope. A hopein the unseen for some, has now shed a light that shines across the world as a WNBAChampion, WNBA Community Assist Award Winner, and voice of hope for those inneed. It’s no surprise that there is a “Temeka Johnson Day” in Kenner, La., “TemekaJohnson Weekend” in Baton Rouge, Kenner and New Orleans, and finally her veryown foundation – Heaven Opens People’s Eyes (HOPE) Foundation. A true
philanthropist, Ms. Johnson has adopted schools, nursing homes, donated shoes,books, and is also a published authored that has been highlighted in ESPN, Times-Picayune and even the White House Blog! More than a basketball player, TemekaJohnson is fully developed brand.

Founded in 2008, the H.O.P.E. Foundation’s mission is to provide inspiration toyouth, families and communities to help them lead a more emotionally healthylifestyle. HOPE will provide the tools necessary to increase self esteem, physicalactivity and a unified community spirit.
HOPE has three main objectives for the foundation:

Adopt-a-School ProgramHOPE searches for schools in need of various forms of assistance.
Through donations and support, the foundation provides schools w/ the tools to better aide our students and teachers.
Father/Daughter Basketball ClinicsThese special sponsored clinics engage fathers and daughters in
a unique clinic experience led by Temeka that is sure to strengthen the bond between father and daughter.

Women Empowerment ConferencesTemeka Johnson engages in workshops and seminars for women of all
ages (even our young women). Whether based on social or life skills or a
full day conference of invited speakers, Temeka continues to reach many!
Basketball Camps/ClinicsTemeka and “Team Meek” will travel the globe performing basketball camps
and clinics for youth of all ages. The camps not only drill basketball skills,
but also life’s fundamentals that enrich our minds and bodies.
