SERVICE DEFINITIONThis document defines the complete service delivery scope for BANKSETA's Post School Bridging Learnership & FET Capacity Building function at Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Gauteng, Free State, Kwazulu Natal. This document must be read in conjunction with the Service Level Agreement (SLA), which defines the specific details of service delivery and how it is measured. For purposes of this Service Definition (SD) the Post School Bridging Learnership & FET Capacity Building function is divided into the following functional areas: PLANNING - The submission of a comprehensive overall training course plan and programme. FET CAPACITY BUILDING - Identify requirements and develop strategies and actions required to capacitate designated

FETs to be able to deliver the approved Learnerships. LEARNER RECRUITMENT & SELECTION - Describes the requirements related to Learner Recruitment & Selection. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT - Describes the requirements related to Learner Training and Development. ADMINISTRATION OF ALLOWANCES AND STIPENDS - Describes the requirements related to the administration of

Allowances and Stipends. LEARNER SUPPORT - Learner support refers to mentoring, coaching and counselling of learners in all matters pertaining

Conduct the agreed training and development of the FETs to enable the FETs to become accredited BANKSETA suppliers.

Recruitment strategy refers to a detailed description of how learners will be recruited. It is important to note that the selected FET colleges must be involved in ALL aspects of recruitment and learner selection.

Service Provider will provide the following services:

In conjunction with the BANKSETA develop a recruitment strategy.

In conjunction with the BANKSETA agree on learner numbers per province.

Based on the agreed recruitment strategy submit a list of the sources to the BANKSETA that will be used, before recruitment starts. Recruiting includes active recruitment, public advertisement, word of mouth and engagement

BANKSETA will provide the following services:

Scrutinise the list of sources before sourcing process starts to ensure suitability of sources.

Establish a BANKSETA Post School FET Capacity-Building Project Team and Steering Committee.

Provide criteria (Refer to Appendix E) for the recruitment of learners to service provider upon signing of contract. [Estimated contract award will be end June 2013].
