Firstly, thank you to all the parents who attended our P&C meeting and AGM last Wednesday. The meeting was very productive, with some motions supported that will directly benefit the students of school and the school itself.

Thank you to Kate Bone and Andrew Lake for their contributions as President and Treasurer. I am personally very grateful for their support and how they welcomed me into the NLHIS community last year. The teachers are also very grateful for their efforts and what they have done for the students here at the school. Both Kate and Andrew are strong advocates for the P&C supporting students and their families. We look forward to continuing to work with both Kate and Andrew as P&C members.

We welcome Kate Murphy as P&C president. She is joined on the executive by Melinda Holme (Secretary) and Katie Draper and Louise Erikson (Vice Presidents). The treasurer position remains vacant. We also have many new and returning general members who showed their support to:

• Fund infrastructure upgrades by the construction of a retaining wall and repairing shade sails in the fixed equipment area. Both of these projects are currently awaiting approval from Schools Infrastructure.

• The purchase of sports equipment and soccer goals.

• Contribute money and help towards building a school vegetable garden.

We are very excited about getting these projects started and thank the P&C and community for their generosity.

• Think of clever ways to overcome difficulties.

• Don’t have what we need, we find something else to use.
