The post is for a temporary, one term, part time teacher and we expect you will be able to teach Religious Studies across the whole age and ability range in KS3 and KS4. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an experienced team who strive to instil a passion for Religious Studies in all our students and achieve excellent results.

You have the opportunity of joining a highly successful Subject Area and teaching enthusiastic young people. We are committed to engaging lessons that stretch and challenge students, closely monitored through robust assessment. We have an excellent bank of resources and over the last 4 months have developed our provision for remote learning and assessment through Microsoft Teams. Religious Studies is well-resourced and enjoys its own suite of classrooms, with a projector and speakers in each room. There are facilities for booking classes into one of five networked ICT rooms, as well as a bank of iPads bookable for class use. Year 10 students will be entered for GCSE Religious Studies, if opted for in Year 9 and we have a healthy uptake for the new A Level. Keen to develop students’ opportunities beyond the classroom, we run a debating society, mindfulness sessions and invite outside speakers. SELECTION If having read this information, you like the sound of the Heber and the post, we would like to hear from you. We can guarantee you high-quality support in your new job, committed and effective colleagues, well-motivated and imaginative students and a supportive community. In return we expect enthusiasm, dedication and the ability to instil a thirst for learning in our students and a real belief in the international dimension and understanding of other cultures. We wish to appoint an inspirational teacher, who will continue to develop the ethos of a fully inclusive education at Heber and aspire to develop their own career beyond this post. Application is by Letter and Application Form only, CVs will not be accepted.
