ProblemGlobal warming is becoming an increasing problem and
the consequences are irreversible
Maintaining climate change under 2 degrees Celsius is
crucial to our existence
It will impact the economy, our ecosystems, our wildlife,
our health, our children, maybe even our existence
On April 20, 2010 the world witnessed the worst oil spill in
history BP rig exploding in the Gulf of Mexico
4.9 million barrels of oil spilled into the water killing
thousands of birds, mammals, and sea turtles
Many Canadian and Us soldiers died fighting the Middle
East on what people view as a war on oil
BackgroundIn 1997 Toyota released first “hybrid
electric” vehicle2006 Tesla created “electric” car that could
travel over 200 miles in one chargeUS alone 234,000 plug in vehicles sold
and 3.3 million hybrids
It is critical for us to take action as it takes millions of years to fix the pollution in the air, water and soil

Conclusions/ Next Steps: Tesla Model S

The model S uses half the power the Toyota Prius uses every mile, and has over 200 mile range over any other electric vehicle.
