Vet Food Agro Diagnostics (M) Sdn Bhd is an ISO/IEC 17025 and ILAC-MRA accredited laboratory that provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic analytical tests to various industries such as the veterinary, food, feed and pharmaceutical industries.
VFAD was set up in 2001 and was accredited in 2007 in accordance with recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17025 under SAMM (Laboratory Accreditation Scheme of Malaysia). Our SAMM-accredited veterinary and food analysis tests are also recognized by Department of Veterinary Services and Ministry of Health respectively.
We are committed to delivering reliable test results with short turnaround time to meet the needs of our customers. Accurate test results are of the utmost importance and we strive to provide and ensure high quality testing by participating in various proficiency testing programmes yearly. Our test results are available in both hard copy and via our secure VETLAB® Reporting System (VRS) Online. Our commitment to our customers has always been a top priority.

Waterborne and foodborne diseases are a common, costly, yet preventable public health problem which can cause severe illness and even death. Food poisoning is frequently caused by bacteria and chemical residues in food that has been poorly manufactured, handled, stored or cooked. Thus, it is important to ensure food safety by testing not only foodstuff but also the food processing environment and water used for food processing.

Feed and feed ingredient manufacturers have a legal responsibility to ensure that every ingredient used in their products is safe for its intended use, and their products are not adulterated or misbranded. If feed nutrient content is limiting, then additional supplements will be needed, or production and health will be compromised. Feed quality analysis is a fundamental tool to determine the value of feed, in order to assist in budgeting for maximum production at minimum cost.

Airborne microorganisms in the environment are the biggest challenge in maintaining a low bioburden count in controlled premises. Bioburden in the air can be contributed by human movement, insufficient cleaning processes and poor efficacy of detergents. Regular monitoring of air quality, environmental or work surfaces as well as personal hygiene is crucial to verify the efficacy of sanitizing or disinfecting techniques, especially in the food, pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, as poor hygiene may cause cross-contamination of food or finished products.
